At this point, there are quite a few people out there with access to Fallout 4 already, a quick look at SteamDB will show that several people are in-game at any given time. As always, people getting the game early also results in leaks, so we now have quite a few screenshots of Fallout 4 running on the PC at ultra settings, just a week before the game unlocks for everyone.

These screenshots were taken at 1080p, put in to an Imgur album and shared on Reddit:

There are a few more in the full album, with a couple of close-up shots to show texture quality. As a reminder, the recommended system requirements for Fallout 4 include an Intel Core i7 4790 CPU, 8GB of RAM and a GTX 780 or AMD R9 290x graphics card, so they are quite high. Also, factor in things like compression when trying to judge the graphics of a game from screenshots.

Fallout 4 unlocks on the 10th of November, which is just seven days away from now. In terms of texture quality, the game doesn’t appear to be breaking new ground but the new lighting system appears to be fantastic.

The Imgur link does not work anymore, so the images have been removed.

The reddit comments aren't very encouraging though.

i debated getting this on PC, but think i shall stick to XBONE, so i can chill on couch and play. to paraphrase something i read : "judging Fallout on graphics, is like judging Forza on its storyline"

But judging by the past Elder Scrolls and Fallout 3 & NV - the modding scene on PC will be huge for this game

Luckily Xbox One is getting mod support as well. Hopefully people will be actively adding lots of mods there as well. I'm still wondering how mods on console is gonna work though...

Well they're almost certainly not going to be graphic enhancement mods. :p

I imagine it will mostly be changes in gameplay and custom models.

Probably yes. Will still be awesome to get mods on the console. I have lost all my love for PC gaming and will never return probably, so console it is for me, and really excited about mods support

I actually like the look of it. Too many games are pushing for ultra-realism. The slightly animated look to it lightens the mood considerably and I hope the slight humour to the game might make it "fun".
