Recommend Me a Keyboard

My keyboard is set to arrive today and now it's on special as a daily deal at Takealot. Second time that I've ordered something and then a couple of days later it's a daily deal.

I suppose you could order a new one, then send the old one back saying you made a mistake or something. "whistling:

I hate it when that happens

I mostly get that every 2 years when I do my phone upgrade

Sorry man, that's unfortunate. You don't seem to have the best of luck in this department :D
Tell you what, when I start ordring my upgrade parts for my PC I'll ask what you'd get then wait for it to go on special!

Ahhhh Unlucky man! Saw it this morning and thought you were going to post about it! =D

Same thing happened to me with a couple things... They must have something in place that says "if (items_sold>somevariable) then daily deal this item"... or "if (item.soldTo(Solitude||murfle) then daily deal this to make them feel stupid and impatient"

lol I didn't buy from them though. I bought it from Rebeltech. So it's probably just coincidence. :)

The keyboard arrived though and I look forward to trying it out this evening! :D

It looks great! I'm still getting used to it and just typing this is taking quite a lot longer than usual. :) The keys feel great though! And I still have to set my colours. :D Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah, I'm still on the default colours. They just look so good and soothing... So I might just keep them that way. I adjusted the colours on my laptop (which has a Steelseries keyboard built in) in the beginning, but reverted back to the default profile after a while.

Can you give us a picture/image of the palm rest? Because not all palm rests are equal. A lot of keyboard have palm rests but perhaps you need/prefer a certain size of palm rest?

I have the Logitech G710+, it has a decent sized palm rest and I find it nice for typing, although the keys stand out a bit higher than my previous keyboard, so that took some getting used to. It has Brown switches, which are tactile (have feedback) but non-clicky, so while they aren't as loud as the Blue switches, they are louder than non mechanical keyboards.
For a "casual" gamer I might say there is little benefit of a mechanical keyboard over a non-mech, however I do like the tactile feedback.

I also miss the macro keys at work sometimes, as I can code a string of commands and then just spam the macro key.

I have G710 Blue. Same keyboard but with blue switches. Blues are awesome for home use.
