Looking for a headset under R1500

So I'm tired of gaming with earphones and I've managed to save up R1500. I'm looking for a 7.1 headset with mic or at least something with the best quality for the price.

Oh and I'd like for it to be compatible with PC and PS4, but I doubt that will be a problem since both can use 3.5mm and USB.

I have 2 choices in mind at the moment: Logitech G430 and HyperX Cloud 2.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Any reason you feel it's better? I thought Razer first but many say the headsets I mentioned are better.

Try them all on and have a look. I am not, but I don't think the ones you mentioned are back closed headphones. So they do not block out ambient noise. The Krakens block out ALL noise. It is insane! They are also comfortable and look awesome

Hi DJ-DK786, have a look at our amazing deal on the Logitech G430 - http://www.firstshop.co.za/logitech-g430-surround-sound-981-000537-p-21897

I have the Logitech G35's and swear by them. You will make no mistake going for the G430's.

One point though: I doubt the 7.1 will work on PS4 as it is 'emulated'(how I would call it) 7.1. Whe you look at the connector, it actually only has a output and mic jack, so the surround sound is made by the Logitech Gaming software on your computer, not physical speakers in the headphones.

It'll still work fine on your PS4, just in stereo rather than surround.

I've got one of the smaller logitechs (g230 I think)...and must say...not a massive fan. Had issues with the physical vol control scratching & giving unequal vol left/right. Plus prefer the sound on similarly priced sennheisers (hd419).

Wish SH made sturdy headsets.

Also...why are your 2 options so far apart price wise? 900 vs 1500? I'd take the logitech out of those two though despite the concerns about the vol control. (vol control being the spawn of hell btw...third headset I've got with this issue).

Personally I love the headphones from Corsair over the ones from logitech. There are 2 that are in your price range but i'm not sure if they will work on a PS4.

The problem is that Corsair has crazy driver problems that they just never fix. I'll never buy a Corsair headset again because of that.

Actually, I'll never buy anything from Corsair again because of that.

Well I never had problems with my headphones when I had them, granted I never used them with windows 10 but I was more than happy with mine.

So are you enjoying your logitech headsets? if you went for something else then I am sure you wish you had gotten the logitechs.

easily best headies around. Im saving up for when the G933 lands. Got a set of G930s atm. so many headsets are good but its awlays the logitech ones that you pick and and know " im going to f*** some one up today " that is Logitech.
