I never knew about these people, but find it extremely fascinating.
They call themselves activists and hacktivists. Reading a bit on what they stand for and what they do, seems pretty cool. Reminds me of Mr.Robot!

Really? I've known them ever since they "took on" the church of scientology back in 2008...am I just old? :p
 
Well, they've been around since ~2004; However I'm yet to see something really awe inspiring from them for the most part it seems to be "hijack some low hanging fruit and then DDoS the crap out of someone" type hacktivism. I'd be more impressed if they actually get information on ISIS, hand it over to the French government and get a metric shit ton of bombs dropped on ISIS members and strongholds.

On a related note, the hackers I'm worried about are not the ones that run around with a "hey look at me and what I've done" type hackers. It's the ones you don't ever hear from, the ones that don't DDoS or set up botnets. Those are the ones I really worry about.

That's very True! Apparently they are busy targeting ISIS and all their social media accounts. But like you said, some solid intercepted information would be amazing
