Bundles, Bundles everywhere!

Yeah it definitely is. I wouldn't buy it separately if you already own all the rest. I think I only own Q2 in Steam, so I'll be getting the bundle :)

I actually reconsidered it last night. I think the nostalgia of Quake is what made me think of buying it, but watching some gameplay videos last night made me realise I'll never play them again - not even Quake IV, which looks the best of the lot. So I'll rather keep the awesome memories as they are without spoiling them.

Quake 4 might look the best, but there are some amazing mods for Quake 1. One mod called Darkplaces (That site design SCREAMS early 90 design, love it), it looks great. There are even HD texture packs for Quake 1.

But, I wouldnt advice someone to get Quake 1 now, if you have the time and want to play around a bit, modify the game by adding mods (which is really easy) it might be worth it. The single player game play might be too simplistic for ppl now, but its one of the games I play every once in a while.

Multiplayer is insanely fast, bunny hopping, rocket jumping and running for cover when someone picks up Quake Damage...

Mods, maps, skins, etc....no wait, I change my mind, GET THE GAME!

Oh and the Expansions for Quake 1, 2 and 3 are also worth it.

Yeah, saw the new bundle. Was excited at first, but realised nostalgia alone won't bring me to playing those games. Especially since most of them aren't on Steam...

That's awesome!

Especially since most of them aren't on Steam...

:wtf: All of them are on Steam. In fact, Steam keys are all they actually give you.

Hahaha, I mistook it for the new Humble Bundle. See, lack of sleep is getting to me now. :p

And yes, I also saw THAT bundle earlier and thought it's quite sneaky selling it as "41 games" when the one "game" is already a bundle of a gazillion 20-25 year old platformers.

It's a fantastic deal though, if you consider that just one of those games cost the price of the whole bundle on Steam. And the game I really wanted (Lichdom: Battlemage) costs over R400.

I guess it's worth it if I want to bolster my Steam library by 20% of its current size and gain even more games that I'll likely never play.

Nice bundle there, I've been wanting to get Lichdom: Battlemage so I'd get it for that alone. But some of those classics I'm keen to play as well such as Cosmo's Cosmic adventure, Hocus Pocus, Monster bash - all the childhood games that I only had the freeware levels.

Not only did the Steam sale start, but Humble decided they also want some of our money with Square Enix 3 Bundle:

Humble's got a rather odd Yogscast Jingle Jam Bundle for $25

Might be worth a look, one thing I find odd is that it has GuildWars 2 which is odd as you need to get Heart of thorns expansion if you want to join most people playing. (Heart of thorns Expansion includes original Guildwars 2)

January's Humble Monthly bundle:

GAME REVIEWS CARDS BUNDLED RETAIL PRICE
The Talos Principle 96% ❤ 0 $39.99
The Masterplan 77% ❤ 0 $19.99
Mushroom 11 92% ❤ 0 $14.99
Grim Fandango Remastered 89% ❤ 0 $14.99
Spelunky 91% ❤ 0 $14.99

Um, excuse the bad formatting. I copied it from Steamgifts and I'm too lazy to fix it now.

Also get Alien: Isolation for free if you pay now for the next bundle. I'm playing it at the moment. Got it for Christmas from my SS so will be giving my copy away.

3 games on that list that I really want, so I regret not signing up for it. :(

I'll take your copies of Spelunky, The Talos Principle and Grim Fandango Remastered if you find them overly burdensome. ;)
