Online specials: Steam, Greenman Gaming, GamersGate, etc

Got an official Bethesda employee to take a look at the issue. I'm seriously surprised that they haven't noticed this yet. I'm fairly positive that Valve communicated with the publishers before they added the new regions.

The way the developer portal works is that they literally have to enter the price in a text box. It's not as if it requires some kind of massive effort. If this gets fixed I'll contact other publishers who have games missing as I'm certain that it's not deliberate. These games have already been rated by the FPB, so that can't be an issue.

Great work!

damn....I own everything expect for Hunted. I bought The Evil Within yesterday on the humble store for $8.99, not that big a difference luckily, ~R40.
Elder Scrolls Online I didnt buy through STEAM, its standalone.

Oh and except the Fallout 4 Season pass.

Are there any other missing games?

Yesterday I saw that Lords of the Fallen, and all other "CI Games" were unpriced, but now they're back as well.

I've got about 10 games on my wishlist that haven't been priced yet. That's out of 170 wishlisted games so there's definitely an improvement but there are still games that need to be priced.

Still a couple on my wishlist with no prices, but it's mostly indies.

Going through your guy's wishlists I found quite a few, thanks. :) I can't believe that Papers, Please is missing.

The nice thing about indie devs is that it's easier to contact them.

Hah, I love indie devs. Less than a minute after I contacted Lucas Pope, he replied with an email saying that he's now just submitted the regional pricing for Papers, Please and is waiting for it to be approved.

Guess we'll see tomorrow. ;)

So far 5 of the 15 or so developers/publishers I've contacted have replied back. One even gave me a free Steam key. :p

Bloody hell. Nicely done! I wanted to contact everyone in the beginning but out of sheer laziness I only contacted one. :)

Name and shame. "whistling:

Persuasion check ... failed. :p

It was an Ancient game that revolved around a Planet which was going for R7499.

Who did you contact? The more people who help out the better. :)

Some of the devs I talked to already knew about the issue, and are waiting for Valve to approve their prices, while others had no idea (how?) and were very happy that someone had let them know.

Oh nah, by saying I contacted someone I meant the thread that I created for Wolfenstein. So I didn't actually contact anyone directly.

Props to Capcom for this. Both DMC 3 and Lost Planet 1 are missing from our store.

Yep, we've alerted the regional (Capcom Europe) sales team covering those territories. It's likely they'll need to double-check prices in local currencies and ensure appropriate age ratings have been obtained before release. For example, Lost Planet Extreme Condition will likely require its own FPB classification. (FPB = South African age ratings board)

The fact that they're going through the FBP, which costs quite a bit IIRC, gets a lot of respect from me. They could just say f**k it, but they're not. See, this is how you do it Konami. When are we going to get Lords of Shadow 1 on our store? Never. Yeah I thought so.

Capcom is definitely one of the more likable Japanese publishers these days, especially when it comes to PC support.

Yeah they are usually quite good. On the flip side, their Steamworks transitions of Resident Evil 5 and Dead Rising 2 were quite bad though. They outsourced them, and ended up introducing more bugs and then never fixed them. Ironically Res. Evil 5 still requires the GFWL API to be installed because they included a tool that allows you to migrate your save files, however that is useless for new players. That will probably never get fixed.

When they do in-house ports everything is usually golden though. DMC.DMC runs at 60FPS on a toaster, and that isn't even using their proprietary engine.

I honestly wish SEGA would just copy what Capcom are doing. SEGA Europe has their heads in the game, but SEGA Japan are living in the past. The only reason we got Valkyria Chronicles on PC was because SEGA Europe hired a small 4 man team to port it. SEGA Japan didn't approve (they thought it would fail) until they saw the sales figures. It sold really well, surprisingly well. They have a massive backlog of titles that were console exclusives that could come to PC, yet so far the only other thing we've gotten is that one Sonic game no one asked for from the Wii U. Give me Vanquish, Bayonetta 1 and Resonance of Fate dammit! Some of them, like Bayonetta, actually have PC builds already. There's a video out there of one of the producers playing the game on Nvidia's 3D vision. They could bring over the Yakuza series too, which isn't selling that well on the PS3 and PS4, as well as Atlus's games, like Persona 4 and 5. Steam is where your niche market is. Do a decent port, give it some marketing and it will sell.
