XBox One with Forza 6 for R5499

I'm tempted enough to pay that just to get Forza 6. My love for racing games has been revived with the latest Humble Bundle - I can't get enough of Grid Autosport and I KNOW Forza is miles better. I played Forza 2 and 3 to death when I still had a 360.

Wasn't it you who never touched your PS4 though? It was someone. Hmm I think it was you. It would then maybe be cheaper to get something like Drive Club. Or you can get Grid Rally on Steam. Forza is great but I don't know if it's R5000 great. If you do get it though then we can maybe revive the Forza challenges that died when everyone got too busy.
 
Can anyone honestly explain to me what makes Forza so magical that people are seriously willing to spend over R5000 for one game? From what I've played of the series it was just another racing game, not even something I would be willing to pay full price for.

I love cars! I can't afford to buy all those cars in real life (like Jay Leno) never-mind drive them. This is the closest thing I will get to in being able to experiencing them. From hot hatches, muscle cars or even super cars, albeit virtually.

So what makes Forza better than the other hundreds of racing games out there?

Nothing. Each racing game has their own uniqueness, pros and cons.

Much like if this was a Halo bundle instead, you would have people buying the deal just for the game as well. The fact is every franchise has their player base and their fanboys (if you will), that will jump at the opportunity to purchase it. Much like I bought a PS4 for the purpose of Bloodborne. I bought a PS3 for the purpose of Gran Turismo.

It's the reason these exclusives are console sellers.

I dunno, I can sort of understand someone buying a console for something like Halo, at least that has an interesting story that people want to continue and an active multiplayer scene that seems extremely popular. But just another racing game?

For some that is the progression (story). For you it might just be going around and around in circles, left turn, left turn.... but to my it's about tuning my engine, suspension, getting the tightest fastest line, how to take this corner to maximise speed, etc. I spend hours on the track doing just this...

forza's multiplayer is awesome- around and around we go :D
 
Funnily enough I can't really comment because I haven't played any other racing game besides Forza in many many years. So I don't know how other racing games compare to Forza. Forza is a hell of a lot of fun though.

It's like Diablo. It's addictive and it's one of those games that you just don't want to put down. I blame subliminal messages.
