Plans for the Holiday Period

Solitude

Mr. Nice Guy
I know not everyone's getting time off and I feel for those of you who don't. But what's everyone up to this Christmas time? Staying at home? Going away?

Any games you are planning to play?

I'm lucky in that I'm going on leave on the 23rd until the 4th of January. My wife's parents will come visit for Christmas but otherwise we will be chilling at home with my wife not being able to walk yet after the knee injury. So I plan to play lots of games.

GTA V on the XBox One and Shadowrun Returns and Alien Isolation on the PC. Hey and maybe even more if there's time.

I can't wait!

Only Solid plan i have is 16 December !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D Can't wait!

My excitement only happens from the 25th

- get to give the parental unit everything I got her and see her smile and laugh at them
- get to to the same the following day when the sister and family visit
- the gf comes to visit after that and life is good!

Then it's over a week or two later ....... the end :D

We'll be home for Christmas this year, since we went to the coast in October. There'll be family up from Maritzburg visiting so it'll be quite busy though.

Working until Xmas, but I put in leave for the 24th. Xmas Eve and day is family time, then relaxing over shutdown until the new year.
Solitude: Does shadowrun have MP? Because I have it installed, but never get to it, but doing a co-op run together might be fun..

I have no idea hey. Haven't even installed it yet. You can maybe have a look if there's an option like that so long. :)

In no particular order; Birthday "koek & tee", Birthday Dinner, Family get together, family braai, x-mas eve with the family, x-mas day with family, boxing day with family, take kid to aquarium, take kid to beach, take kid to see monkeys, work, swim, drink beer, some more swimming, drinking beer and braaing.

My plans for when I finally go on holiday are as follows:

Play board games
Play Magic: The Gathering
Play Witcher 3 (and finish it)
Play Starcraft: Legacy of the Void (and finish it)
Start Fallout 4

If there's time, I'll do some stuff outside like drink a few craft beers and enjoy a braai. Nothing else. Nothing.

the studio shuts down from the 18th Dec to the 11th JAn but I'll still be in finishing some edits and doing the odd shoot and editing some personal footage of my kids birth and first year. I will be doing a lot of hanging out at the beach and getting up to mischief with Voicy who is coming back from Norway adventuring for a bit!

Aww no man. Sheesh it looks like lots of people will be working during this period. :(

Dude, having to work in shutdown time beats having no work, so bring it on. Last year this time I was unemployed, and I'd much rather have it this way around. Plus, being in shutdown time might just motivate me to hammer it out day 1, and then game the rest of the time!

the wife works retail so I will be home playing through my backlog of games... or that's the plan at least. Will probably end up just playing a lot of Destiny and Elite: Dangerous

I got 4 days (3 1/2 as 24th is a half day at work) off this month. So much to do so little time.

I will be staying at home - the roads are insane
 • Playing The Witcher III and a few of the freebies I've downloaded from PSN (PS4).
 • Playing Real Racing 3, NFS, The Sims, The Simpsons on my Note3.
 • Watching movies and series.
