I still don't get what this is supposed to be. Who's getting all these games that you are "paying forward". And what did you get that makes you want to pay it forward in the first place?
If you're just giving random anonymous people gifts because you have too much money or want to be generous, I'm not sure how that's "paying it forward"

Yes, with the rising cost of games it has become a better option to just give people the joy of random game covers.
I would assume though that the people who posted those covers gave the games to people. Or maybe they received them. Or they are giving people hints as to what they want. Or maybe it really is just a random game cover thread now.

I've found someone that wants a game, I gifted it to them. Maybe they couldn't afford it, maybe they could, who knows.
What did I get? Nothing! It's not about that. I know the person that I gifted the game to will get enjoyment out of it and appreciate it, that's all that matters.
Judging by me giving away a game today inspired two others to do the same. I can leave happy today.
