Nope. And I will probably also never do any of the powerplay stuff. Not interested in it and it limits movement to only moving among allies. Mean while, if you stay independent you can get allied with every faction out there and then be everyone's friend. Which means you gain access to all the permit systems out there.
 
Okay, right, bounty hunting means I don't have to travel. Got it.

So, each bounty I take adds to the reputation of that faction within that system? So let's say if I do stay in a Federation controlled system and do a shit ton of bounties, they will start liking me and send me cake on my birthday?
 
I am SOOOO pissed at both steam and PayPal right now. My cousin bought me ED and I am loving it. I have some dollars in my paypal account and wanted to get ED horizons added on.

To my disgust and frustration, there is no more paypal option in Steam.

I even tried doing the purchase through a VPN, made my steam account set in Netherlands with a netherlands address and bounced the VPN from Netherlands and steam still wont let me! It still says my country of residence does not match up, even though my Paypal is all in dutch.

So angry right now, ED Horizons is on a 25% off sale.

Correct, this is why the Kill Warrant Scanner is important. So it scans which systems that person is wanted in, then you get the bounty for there. It also often raises the bounty amount on them once scanned.

It's not 25% off sale, it's 25% off if you own the base game. So it shouldn't expire.

Also, it should be linked to your Frontier Account which you could also buy Horizons from there?

They will scan you less. They will communicate with you a bit more respectfully. Though the bounties you take will most likely be from the one specific faction. So in the same system that faction will start hating you. And probably later on attack you on sight.

Also, this will take a while but it is possible: You can make a faction bankrupt. If you keep doing bounties for one specific faction without charities or anything like that they could default and another faction could take over. Although that's how it should work in theory. But who knows, with how buggy the background sim is at the moment.

But doesn't the Kill Warrant Scanner often scan people that are Clean in your current system finding bounties from other, then when you kill these dastardly low-lying low-life, the current system will see it as murder and put a bounty on my ass as well? I mean it's not like it's Scooby Doo where I can remove the poor deceased bounties mask and reveal his true nature

Maybe you can try and find an online store that sells steam wallet codes and accepts paypal.

I never bother with a KWS any more. It's just too much labor to fly to another systems and claim bounties that rarely feel worth it in my opinion.

When logged in the Frontier store ED H is €53.99, on steam it is €40.49. Does the Frontier store not pick up that I have the base game already?

It works the same way you linked Elite with steam back in the day before Elite was listed on Steam. View your account in the frontier store and look for third party keys.

Just request a key via your account page on the Frontier store. This can be redeemed within Steam.
 
Is horizons now part of the base game client? I've noticed that the client size went from 6gb to about 14gb since the last time I played.
