Well, ceiling contractors are finally coming out today. Then another 3 weeks wait for the new cupboards and only after that we get new laminate floors in the bedrooms - currently only a cement floor.

Going on 3 weeks in the hotel now and I'm really getting fed up. Really thought 2016 will be a better year. :(

...and I had to chase the contractors away. Rules of our estate are "no ID, no access" and they were here yesterday without IDs. After they KNEW they had to bring IDs, 2 of them didn't have.

After fighting with the manager on the phone, he said he'll tell Outsurance to send someone else and threw the phone down in my ear. Fuming, I phoned Outsurance, only to let my wife take the phone and talk to a manager there calmly.

So, now they will send new contractors for quotations and we have another 2 weeks in the hotel. I miss my house and internet, staying in a hotel is crap. Already been in the hotel for 3 WEEKS.

It sounds like everyone's having a bad day today.

I had problems with my new graphics card and I thought I bought something that doesn't work. But luckily it turned out to be a driver problem.

Not too bad, just a bit frustrating. I'm now at our office charging up phones, tabs etc while I do some printing. At least City Power have said that restoration should be in 3-4 hours so that's something. We're in the Boskruin area.

Glad it was just a driver problem for you GFX card - I know the fears when new hardware doesn't work at first.

Ah I wondered if it's maybe in Boskruin. I work there and had to work from home on Tuesday because there was no power. May you have power soon!
