What mouse do you use?

i have some or other microsoft jobby which i bought for R150 last year

no cons

although i would like a razor

I'm currently using a Logitech MX Revolution. It's awesooooome. ^_^ And all the buttons are useful in CoD.

Irocks = borken
Someother fancy expensive mouse = broken
6 yo Genius Ball Mouse (2 button) = Still going strong!

Doesn't moving between mouses feel awkward?

Not really. Having used the G9 for more than a year, it just feels incredibly comfortable, and the Ikari is perfectly shaped for my hand, as is. Don't use the X8 for gaming actually, and I'm looking to sell it since I don't use it that often.

Also using a Razer pad - the Goliathus. Frikken awesome pad, even better than my Steelseries QcK. It's definitely worth spending a few bucks on a decent mousepad if you have a decent mouse and play FPS games a lot.

@ Mephisto Helix - I'm an enthusiast. We're not in our right minds :D

I've got a : Logitech G9
Awesome mouse, although a little Gimmicky, but for the price the "Gimmicks" add some awesome value :P

Cons : feels a little small at first...

Logitech G9. Always been a logitech fanboy and so I've never even looked at these sidewinder gadgets. WOuld it really be worth looking at coming from the G9?

I'm using a Microsoft Habu. It has been giving me lots of problems over the last while though.

I'm surprised I'm the first to mention the Razer Deathadder... I will never look at another mouse again.

BTW Solitude: My previous mouse was the Razer Habu. I liked it a lot but it also gave me problems before I sold it. It turned out to be the cable which I got replaced and all was fine again.

What issues did u guys find with the Habu? My Habu's left button now does a double clicking action when i try to single click. Seems to be the hardware, as it does the same thing on different machines.

@Dax, how did u replace the cable?

who in their right mind has 3 different mouse
Lol, i have 3 different mouses but for good reason. 2 machines, one of which is a Toshiba notebook.

1) Microsoft Habu mouse which i bought for FPS games a few years back, but it's a bit stuffed now, so its currently attached to one of my old PC's and haven't been using it for gaming. Can't say I abused it and I hardly used it for FPS gaming, so am disappointed it started acting up (left button single/double clicking issue). Runs up to 2000 dpi.

2) Razer Pro Click mouse. Bought it as a cheaper replacement to a proper gaming mouse be used for gaming where required, on my notebook. Runs up to 1600 dpi IIRC.

3) Microsoft Bluetooth 5000 mouse. Use it primarily for work, and the odd bit of Dota sessions on my notebook. Runs only up to 1000 dpi.

Am also using a Razer Exactmat (R250~) mousepad at home as well as a 'Golden Laser' (R50~) mousepad for portability sake. The Golden Laser seems about 95% as good as the more expensive Exactmat and is as thin as 2 sheets of paper. It's just a bit small if one is going to be playing FPS games with a large mouse like the Habu or similar sized mouse.

[edit2]
I'm not actually gaming that much these days, but if i do upgrade my PC then might spring for a new gaming mouse too!

I've been using the Razer eXactmat for a while now, and it seriously makes a difference, specially on high dpi settings.

Simple test I did once for a mate ( as he allways argued on this). I had him play COD5 with a bolt action rifle with my mouse and a normal mousepad, an uprated but still entry level hardpad and just on the table. then I switched to my razer pad (without telling him which one is whitch) he instantly shot better, he commented he was much more accurate, got onto other players quicker and it just felt better, then I told him it was on the Razer, he was cheezed off cause I had proven him wrong. Next day he had one of his own :)
lol, how did he not realise that he was using a different mousepad? :)

2x R50 low budget esquire's optical, all the major funds when into the actual rigs i have
what are the rigs and what types of games do u play? A crying shame if gaming with an awesome rig but using a budget mouse. Kinda like a Ferrari with biscuit wheels...

lol, how did he not realise that he was using a different mousepad? :)

Cause he cant even install a game himself really. He can't even find a game once installed if I dont put a shortcut on his desktop. he can just game, secondly I have one of those tables where the mouse is concealed on a sliding tray under the table. So it's hidden. So for a person who is really not that much full of it and not up to scratch with hardware, it was the perfect test.

I'm using an MSI star mouse but looking to upgrade to the Gigabyte M8000 Ghost mouse looks awesome and quite cheap......
