Star Wars Battlefront - Official Thread

Man this game can really suck if you end up on the wrong map. I felt quite a few times like that guy who broke his discs stating how BS the game is. Any map where enemies spawn all over the place (including behind you) is just terribad in this game, i can't explain how frustrating it is to get shot from literally every direction while you spawn ...no idea why EA/DICE even thought map designed like that is any fun?

Well the info on the new DLC is amazing. I can't wait to have proper internet again to download. Apparently the download for the free stuff available right now is 1.2GB.

Content details for the patch out yesterday, and for those coming up in Feb and March:
The Tatooine Survival map will now support the Blast, Droid Run, Drop Zone, Hero Hunt, and Heroes vs Villains multiplayer modes, and is called Raider Camp.

New Hoth-themed outfits for Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, both of which will be available to all fans when they play as these two iconic characters on Hoth – these were unlocked by our players for completing our Heroes’ Holiday community mission last month.

We are giving players the ability to create Private Matches, which makes playing with friends even easier.

The introduction of Daily Challenges and Community Events. These are designed to rally the Community around certain goals and objectives, giving players the chance to earn credits and unlocks even faster. We'll have more news regarding Community Events and Daily Challenges in the days ahead.

And of course, we are also including some overall balancing tweaks to both weapons and multiplayer modes.

In February, we will continue to add more free content for all players, including a new Survival mission on Hoth, and a brand-new Hoth multiplayer map that will support our larger game modes including Walker Assault, Supremacy, Fighter Squadron and Turning Point. Speaking of Turning Point, we are also excited to make this popular mode available on all maps that currently support Walker Assault and Supremacy in the February update.

In March, we will be adding another exciting new multiplayer map on Endor that will support Walker Assault, Supremacy, and Turning Point, and an additional Tatooine Survival map.

EA also announced info regarding the expansion pack plans for SWBF:

First SW: Battlefront DLC details revealed:

Details have been released for the first of Star Wars Battlefront's announced DLC add-ons.

Called Outer Rim, the pack includes four new maps, a new mode, new weapons, and two playable heroes.

The first map takes place on Sullust, a planet known for its lava flow and manufacturing plants. In the second, players will engage in closer-range battles inside the palace and garage of Jabba the Hutt.

Extraction is a new CTF-like mode in which the Rebels have to fight to deliver a resource shipment to their transport before time runs out. Those on the Empire team will have to stop them from making the delivery successfully in order to win.

Two new playable hero characters include the Sullustan rebel Nien Nunb and the Rodian bounty hunter Greedo. Additionally, those who purchase the DLC will have access to the Relby V-10 rifle, the DT12 blaster pistol, and Scatter Gun, Dioxis Grenade, and Adrenaline Stim Star Cards. These new Star Cards can be collected and used in battle.

Outer Rim will be available this month and accessible to those who purchase Star Wars Battlefront's $50 season pass. Several other DLC releases are planned for 2016, including ones taking place on Bespin and the Death Star.

GregRedd Played a bit last night with Talentloos The new menus take a bit of getting used to, but i really enjoyed playing with Greedo! Havent tried outer rim yet, but will over the weekend...

I must say the season pass was expensive, but im glad i bought it with the content they are releasing, im very happy with the route they are taking, and really looking forward to the Death Star!!!

30% off the Season Pass, (save R150, now R350) when you use ORIGIN30 code during checkout.

Goes for about all games I think, says system wide...wonder if it covers Battlefield 1...prolly not.

I'm reaaaaaally considering the season pass now! I'm still having a blast with the base game and only ranked to level 14 so far...

Hey noobs, some news about the next DLC, Bespin...gotta say, this game has made me think about giving Star Wars another chance. I'll definately give buying Battlefront 2 a serious second thought. One of the outstanding games of 2015.
