How big is your cap? I was thinking about getting some Netflix going, but I'm currently on a 10Mbps capped account with 150GB day, and unlimited 00:00 to 06:00 data.
 
Morning all. We have a managers visit today and everything is chaos with the stock take. And my body hurts in places i didnt know existed. Excited to start work on my bike next week :)

I've got a 100GB cap, which just simply isn't enough. I've become very spoilt with my 10Mbps line in that I hate watching or streaming videos under 720p. On Netflix this is not an issue at all, but watching a whole weekend's worth of Archer caused me to use an excessive amount of my cap. My suggestion is rather look at a 300+GB cap for lots of Netflix streaming

At how big a cap does uncapped start making sense for 10mbps? I know on my 2mbps line it's ~200 Gb.

That's actually a very good question. I would say probably 300GB. Anything after that, you'd be probably better off with uncapped. The main reason why I haven't done the uncapped route is due to budgetary constraints. But, if I drop my speed to 8Mbps and take a premium uncapped option from Afrihost, I pretty much pay the same as now. This is something I am highly interested in doing. Got the idea from someone here on the forum.

I've got the business uncapped from AH. R100 more per month, for peace of mind and a metric shitton of downloads.

You see I'm not the world biggest downloader. Not even when I was on an uncapped package, so it's been very difficult for me to rationalize going uncapped. Especially as I hate getting throttled or anything. But, now with my increased appetite for streaming media, I'm strongly considering it.

That's why I got the business. No throttling, no bullshit, full speeds all the time, as telkom line quality permits. I don't download as much anymore, but games take up a chunk, and my wife and I stream a lot, so I still see the usage.
 
im on a 100gb capped account and we are pretty good at keeping everything within the cap. i stream alot though but im ok with streaming at 720p max when im at my pc. the fiance downloads the things we want to watch in HD.
 
Hi all

I do fine with a 10Mbps 200GB account from WA. We don't even have DSTV anymore, we stream everything and I never hit the cap. I don't download things other than games and patches here and there though.

That sucks, it's happened to me as well a few times, maybe consider seeing a chiro, if the vertebrae are out of alignment (what happened to me), your whole neck and shoulders spasm up and it's frikken sore and only gets worse, but a chiro can pop them back in place and have you feeling better straight away.
