Haha what I meant is that you will know what it feels like tonight. Probably. Or maybe not. Somehow it doesn't work that well in text. Hmmm.

I understood what you meant :)

If someone does not take long enough pauses at each period it doesn't work, I think. I'm not sure, but I did a lot of this type of typing on WoW and (still) with a friend I made via WoW, so perhaps it is just ingrained into me :D

So I'm still busy figuring everything out. I'm also at a slight disadvantage as I own only 3 cars now, and you cannot tune rentals. So I'll see how that goes.

I also learned that your time doesn't stick/count if you don't finish all the laps you set for your race :(
I had a 1:54 clean lap after spending an hour on the track, then I quit after 5 of my 10 laps and now the time is gone.

Guess I'll have to try again later. Also, how the heck do you turn the ghost car on? I haven't seen an option for it.

It's going to be tough for you without credits! But you'll level up quickly.

Not sure why the time wouldn't stick. I'm thinking that maybe you are in the wrong mode.

You want to pick Rivals (or something like that) as what you want to drive. Then pick the class and the track from there. The ghost will then automatically be the friend with the closest fastest lap to you. You can also select someone from the leaderboard to set as the ghost. I hope that makes sense.

Ah. I was doing free play or free ride, whatever its called.

Blazzok, here are a few tips for the challenges:

 • It's better to do the challenges in Rivals mode, driving in the specific class as per the challenge. For every lap you complete in Rivals mode, you will get credits and experience in the car you are driving. A good 30 minute session can net you well over 30k credits per session. This will help you get credits and level up much faster
 • When driving in any other mode, remember to check that you don't have any mods currently active for the race. Any mods will cause the lap time to not count, as it's an unfair advantage. Mods are great tool to use during the career races, but not outside of it.
 • Ghost cars can be turned on or off within the settings menu from the main menu.

Thanks for the tips!
I did not know that it will give more Credits, thats why I have never done it

Haven't had much time for it this week I'm afraid, and today I leave for the weekend and will be back Sunday afternoon. Will try get a lap or three in on Sunday night.

Thanks Hammer! I did figure out how to do the rivals one in the end. I read the OP looking for clues as to how to get to the challenge, but is wasn't mentioned, probably because no one else is a newbie :D

I also didn't know about the no mods rule, so I'll have to remove the one mod I have on.

I have no idea how people are driving without TCS and STM on, I tried that and I missed the apex of every single corner and couldn't get speed out of the corner. I'm so gonna plug in my keyboard and race with that :p

Yeah sorry, I got your PM. Sorry I haven't replied as I haven't had a chance to leave the office, haven't had a lunch break all week. I will make a plan Monday.

That's fine. You can send it next weekend too. I'm not in a hurry. Just didn't get a reply so I thought it went under the radar. :)

It depends on what car you are driving. As these 90's cars are not fast at all, with not much power TCS and STM are not really required. Just break before the corners and not while in them, and accelerate once you have hit the apex

Just a quick thought about excluding Dirty Laps from our points leaderboard in an effort to keep folks interested.

From what I understand, the game will always rank dirty laps below clean laps, no matter what the time. A 2 min clean lap will automatically be ranked above a 1 min dirty lap.

If that's correct, why not include dirty laps posted in the challenge points? Like in the Week 2 board here (http://mygaming.co.za/forum/showthr...rsport-6-Challenge-2016?p=1201039#post1201039) Templar and Neon both have times on the board, but are dirty so presumably didn't score points. I don't know how much effort they put into those laps, but they did put up a time.

Sort of like in racing even if the car doesn't get to the finish line, if it's done enough it is still classified.

Just a thought.

It is true, dirty laps will always be ranked lower than clean laps, regardless of time. The objective of this is to ensure people do not get an unfair advantage from driving off of the track. There are many corners that it is possible to cut the corner and shave off large portions of your lap time, but it will mean you have to go outside of the borders of the track. The game will always mark anytime more than 50% of your car leaves the track as dirty. If you do this, you may run the risk of unfairly gaining time on other competitors. This is the reason why this rule has been set in every single track racing event around the world. You simply cannot cut corners, that's the rule.

I do hear what you are saying, but there is a very good reason why there is a distinction between clean and dirty laps. It's also the reason why we only take clean laps into consideration. If you are unable to keep within the confines of the track for a particular challenge, you cannot be judged higher than someone that managed to stay on the track.

Agreed. How will you distinguish between a guy that had cut a corner with the edge of his Tyre, and a guy that skipped a whole corner?
As in racing, when you get an by braking a rule on the track, you get black flagged. It is strange for me that they even post the dirty laps on the Leader boards at all.

Makes sense. I didn't figure on anyone purposely cutting every corner, using every available mod, etc. just to get to be the best of the dirty laps. Not that anyone here would do that I'm sure. Clean laps only it is.

Yeah no I agree 100%. it just adds to many variables that can't be verified. So best to keep it clean and simple. See what I did there? "Clean" :P
