In this day and age, why doesn't Roman's Pizza have an app

Simply put and just looking at the volume (try to get a place to sit of the bat on a Monday to Wednesday evening) of flat dough sold at Roman's Pizza Wierdapark, Lyttelton and Jean Village stores, why have they not made an mobile app yet?

Why would they need one? A mobile site is just as good as an app. I honestly don't understand the need to have an app for absolutely everything.

Well, that could work too. To place and order and select pickup time. The Wierdapark store was packed again last night.

i don't think i've ever ordered pizza online, i'm still old school.
if we are not in the area to place an order and collect, i will call ahead and place an order.

I'm an internal tester for the software behind the counters at Romans stores. Also includes other brands like Debonairs and Fishaways among other...

Do you want the long answer or the short one?

Short one is right here: https://www.yumbi.com/

But as far as I know that's not quite available everywhere yet. If you want more info, just ask.

Well, it is telephone service for us as well, most of the time. Debonairs have their own app and Pizza Perfect runs on the Apptite app.

Never had Dominoes yet...

It's a pleasure. I'd also advise you to follow their group on facebook for the discount codes. As the discount codes work online or at the store... when they finally release the plugin to all stores. On my test store it works :P

And native app development is bloody expensive... I think a lot of "apps" are actually just a wrapper for a mobile web site anyway though.

Prefer a website to an app. At least the site works on all devices and your browser gets regular updates.

they don't even have a delivery service. Pizza is still the best though

Hybrid FTW! :p

Seriously though, an app is useful the moment it takes advantage of a device's hardware and unique OS capabilities. When it just provides news feeds, online ordering or *ahem* banking I believe it is better suited to build a proper responsive web site / application.
