Nah didn't get Horizons coz the entire package is too much for my liking. And I was just testing the waters anyways, and E: D at R210 was worth a shot. Weekends I'm usually busy but I can add you then we can see when I get time.

I had some fun yesterday, went mining and then did a lot of bounty hunting with a friend. This weekend was a good time for Elite.

For anyone interested:





I personally have been using SweetFX and EDFX and it just adds so much to the games atmosphere, I would really suggest giving it a whirl. It also doesn't affect performance or frames as it's purely an injector and post process.

I don't like anything that could hinder my already shaky performance

I have been wanting to try out something... so maybe I'll give it a go tonight and see what I like, or what I can change.

I don't know what makes you think it hampers performance, as it does not. It is basically just post processing which is applied after the graphics card has done it's hard work, and can be enabled and disabled on the fly.

I already have framerate issues. Don't want to poke the bear
 
Last night I played around with building what in my opinion would be the ultimate bounty hunter Viper for those who are too lazy to manually aim. So in other words, for people like me. And this is what I ended up with:

I must say, from the testing I did with it last night I was having loads of fun. Took out a couple of anacondas, didn't get hit once from them. Tried my luck against some Elite Fer De Lance ships and while they were able to hit me once or twice, I still managed to destroy them.
In the end, my shields never went down completely. I never got any hull damage and the weapons did decent. It took about 5 minutes to takes down the anacondas, but that's mostly because I was trying really hard to stay out of it's sights and as such took my time with it.
The Fer De Lances were a lot easier as their hull is made of paper. So once the shields go down they die quickly.

Was a huge amount of fun, would recommend it to other players.
