Excited for the future of VR but the current prices make it really difficult to be an early adopter and for there to be a sustainable market. I'll wait and see what kind of support it gets from developers, but I just don't see there being a large userbase until it's substantially cheaper and until then I don't see any good quality AAA titles releasing. So the Oculus is releasing in about a month with the Vive and PS VR shortly on its heels. Has anyone been saving up, is anyone planning on being an early adopter or adopting it at all? What's your stance on this whole VR thang?

Exactly this. My ass is too broke for VR
I don't have any interest.
If people are still talking about VR in 5 years, then I'll probably start paying attention. I have a feeling that if things aren't done correctly it could end up like 3DTV. 5 years ago, everyone was making a big fuss. Nowadays... no one really cares anymore.
I also wear spectacles, which makes using VR quite difficult.
Wow, finally!... Thought I was going mad and the only one that doesn't really care too much for VR. I too think it's gonna be a gimmick just like 3D, like you said.
I think we all agree that it has serious potential, but priced as they are they're out of reach for a large portion of the gaming community, and no publisher is going to allocate huge budgets to a game that has a small potential buying audience. So initially I do think we'll only see a bunch of gimicky titles and unless prices become much cheaper allowing a lot more people to buy it I don't see it progressing further than that. Not this generation anyway.Though I do understand some of the skepticism that's coming from everyone in here, I sincerely hope it succeeds. I tested out the vive a few months back and honestly I have to say it was one of the coolest god damn things I've experienced. Just imagine it coupled with a game like star citizen or a race sim.

Yeah, and looks to be around $800.
Good luck with that one MetalSoup

This thing looks amazing, and pretty much knocks all others out the park...
