Don't even joke about that. There's an idiot on MyBB that actually believes that the earth is flat, I would hope we don't have nutters like that here.
hahahahahaha

I also took a picture of Saturn on my DSLR with a 500mm lens, so I sent it to him (again). First time he thought it was so cool, because he loves space. This time, he said "Hmm, kinda blurry".
Maybe you forgot image stabilization and a tri-pod?
with a 500mm you were able to get Saturn? what kinda camera and glass you using?

A sigma 150-500mm f/5.6 on a Nikon D7000. Don't expect much, but when I saw these captures, I had a geekgasm. I also got Jupiter, which came out better, being bigger and closer helped a lot.
Fok, had no idea that was possible with just a simple camera. You think it would be better with a prime lens @ f/2.8?
If you have/can afford a 500mm f/2.8, big time! I had to bump my ISO up to get the shutter quick enough for it to not be a complete blur. The lower the ISO, the clearer it will be, and f/2.8 will help that a lot. Keep in mind those photos are cropped, not resized. when you look at it on your preview screen on the camera body, it will look like a star taking up 1/4000th of your screen without zooming.
Yeah of course, I understand. But still, I didn't know think it was possible. Nicely done though!
I've only a D5100 but it suits my needs, and few lenses. Still love my nifty fifty ^_^
Weird hey! and the Flat Earthers, they don't have me convinced.
My sister and brother in law has a nice telescope with tracking etc. Neptune also have a few nice rings.
The flat earth society is a crazy bunch
After reviewing all the evidence from both sides of the argument I have deduced that the following is the truth:
