Flaming Cliffs 3 required Lock on to activate and install but its now a standalone module for DCS

Yes, now I remember! Flaming Cliffs with the Lock On requirement was then the last time I played a flight sim. Sad. I do not last long in the air anyway. :)

Yeah, one of my pipe dreams when I become a billionaire is to buy my own F-15E. They can gladly take out all the weapon systems.

JHB to Cape Town: 45 minutes.

Unfortunately you have better luck buying an old Mig from the Russians than an active fighter from the Americans. You could check on ebay in about 50 years.

Loving Black Flag so far. The naval combat system is enjoyable -- took some getting used to though.

Ironic that I've bought a black outfit for a pirate and suits him well.

I'm really enjoying my games this year. Have played some truly excellent games and have some great games left to play.

It's sometimes a bit overwhelming how large AC: Black Flag is.

Coming from Brotherhood and Liberation, it's massive.
A lot to do, steal and collect. A huge improvement over previous installment.

I've got the third one to play next. Will then tackle the beast that is Black Flag. Everyone I know seems to love it.

Gotta Doom 3 has lost its "scare factor" IMO.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl has me more on edge. Apart from not understanding most of what's said (because of the Russian dialogue): elements in the game is just scarier and builds genuine tension and anxiety.

So far, I had one moment that scared me. "MacDonald's" (what I call those fat common enemies) groaned in a dark corner to my left; that scared me a little as I did not anticipate him being there. Other than that... Meh...

Might hit up S.T.A.L.K.E.R. again after I finish Doom 3 and its expansion.

Steam is starting to give you discounts on bundles that contain games you already own. Pretty neat, and about damn time too.

Hopefully it's fully implemented by the time the next big sale comes around.

Spintires removed from Steam amid allegations of developer sabotage

Coincidentally or not, Spintires was very recently struck by a rash of seemingly out-of-nowhere bugs that have caused it to crash or malfunction in various ways. And according to this post on Reddit, it's actually Zagrebelnyj's doing: It alleges that he's inserted “time bombs” into the game code that are responsible for the troubles. There have been four of them so far, each eventually fixed—unofficially—by a user.
