Hell, I played through as a Sorcerer and all the DLC kicked my ass. Many of the mobs have high magic resistance. Still haven't gone back. I might rather do a new strength build and then retry the DLC.

That's been the case for a while now. The Division and Far Cry Primal are both cheaper on Steam than in stores. I think it was the same with Xcom 2.

Well that's disheartening. I started a new character about a week ago to finally play the DLC before 3 comes out and I've went with a magic build for the first time ever. The whole reason I decided to go for magic was that is the "easy mode" of the game, has been pretty easy so far at least. In a way I'm kind of glad that they addressed how OP magic is in the DLC, but I'm not really keen for a struggle. It's already a massive adjustment going from Bloodborne to Dark Souls 2 the whole time.

I really can't decide which version to get, either Steam or PSN?

Steam has a pre-order bonus if you already own any Dark Souls title you get a discount.
PSN has a benefit of completing the collection on console, and the comfort of the couch. Downside is, I don't have PS+ so any "multiplayer" will not be possible anyway.

I got digital deluxe on PSN and will be getting a physical copy on PC later on. Surely you plan on getting PS+ again in the future? Still think PC will be the best in terms of performance and whatnot but for me PS4 is the better option to go for first because of coop with other friends who are also getting it.

Exactly this. But alas, buying this I cannot then afford PS+ (at least for a few months). And frankly don't see the purpose of buying a month or three.
 
I'm currently quite annoyed at Namco Bandai for giving out such early access to Youtubers and Twitch streamers, because atm it's like avoiding a minefield of spoilers for 3 weeks...

Yeah, my subscription list is adorned with it too. Still haven't seen anything about it though, but doesn't make it any easier. But aren't they only allowed to show the first 4 hours or something?

Can't wait for next week!!! Glad I decided to go digital PS4 in the end as it will preload and unlock at 00:00 on the 12th so I can play it a little bit before the actual release the next day.
