The Division Thread

Good luck not being kicked from a group. I already got kicked yesterday from a daily group for having all heal skills

Then that's fine. This is also why I'll only play with friends and not randoms, and if I'm hampering their experience then I'll play solo.

It's because people are speed clearing and healers don't fit into speed clear meta. We might try challenge mode tomorrow or over the weekend. We have no interest in speed clearing so whoever is game can hit us up. However is you are going healer you should probably at least have 70-80k DPS and 60k health because the faster the enemies go down the less damage we will be taking.

I want to do one more DZ sweep tonight to try and up my stats a bit more before going in. We are reasonably comfortably clearing level 32 enemies with 100k DPS, 70k HP.

are you guys gearing up mainly via the DZ? Trying to figure out my plan for tonight

Think it's mostly down to Phoenix Credit farming.
15 for a daily hard mission + 3 for named enemy
20 for Challenging mission daily + 3 for named enemy

Also, go into Dark Zone and go on boss runs, getting 3 Phoenix Creds per boss. Use said credits for armour and weapons. At least I think that's what most are doing.

Pretty much this, we do the two "hard" mode dailies and then straight to DZ runs.

Also, keep in mind Phoenix Credit are shared across different characters, so earn double by rolling two characters. If feeling more ambitious, go for 4 characters (but who has time for that, right? :wtf: )

I can only grind so much lol. One character is enough for me.

The upside is once your second character reaches 30, you can just swap and change gear between the two. But yeah, I hear you. I'm not too much into min maxing either, I play and select what I want not what a meta says I must.

Cool thanks, guess i'll run the hard mode dailies tonight. Was kind of avoiding them.

Still haven not claimed the phoenix credits form the ubi unlock.

Yeah, the dailies aren't that bad, even solo I quite enjoy them. Makes it a little more challenging.

But challenging... oh em gee!!! Don't try this solo, they just bum rush you!

Hard mode becomes so easy when you have DPS. It's mostly just run and gun at this point.

I am really not happy with the direction its all going. I like being support in games, mostly because I suck at aiming and twitch gaming and instead pride myself on situational awareness. The current meta is all out DPS or hide away keeping perma buffs up.

If you guys will take me so I can play the way I like, support/CC then I will certainly join. Otherwise I am not sure where to go with this game.

Oh well

Why do you think I play with friends (here) because we play to our likeness, not what a meta tells us to.

Play the game, not the meta! You're always welcome and I'm sure no one else here will mind.

when the fiance and i are on you can also join with us. i play with all heal capabilities as well. just bare in mind my fiance is a nutter who thinks this is BF where he can run and gun and not die so easily.... we are also total noobs in the DZ

I would love to. A buddy of mine in the UK absolutely loves sniping and he is amazing at it. This meta also has no place for snipers.

I would have liked to go tank but there is not point. Some sort of taunt or agro ability would have been nice.

I prefer the idea of playing a role, and not just focus DPS, DPS, DPS... it also changes up the game play and makes it a little more technical, tactical, challenging and require more communication. I think this is more the way the developers intended the game to be played.

I have run hard level missions and seen tanks, the pistol with + threat on the silencer does help. I have seen how they herd mobs and create flanking for the DPS by using proximity for threat as well. It does work, probably not that well in challenging though.

The words: tactical, technical, I love those. It supposes a certain amount of thought while playing the game. It is how I like to play games.
