Might just be my next upgrade from my 8800. My gpu budged is always in the R2000 range.

For R2000 I would much rather buy a 4890![]()
hmm stupid me just saw the prices now both for 2.5k
Hmmm, now I have a choice for my new PC in December;
HD5850 or HD5770 ?
Will just have to wait and see what fits my budget best.
TBH, At R2000 i think the HD 5770 may be a bit overpriced.
As Zenbas has pointed out, you can buy a 4890 for that. Although, DX11 does look quite cool, and the HD 5770 does perform admirably at 1680x1050...
Will have to save my opinion for the review findings...

Are you sure that is wise?
With DX11 tessellation support you will get up to 30% performance boost from DX11 titles, so to me the 4890 is great if you plan to play old games for the next 3 years!
I would rather try very hard to get or save for a 5850!
IF that is the case![]()
