Some of you may have realised that I played with the forum's achievement system over the weekend. Before making this a formal request for comment in the announcement thread, I thought I'd just get a feeling of how ya'll feel about Achievements displayed in your postbit?

Would you like to see more achievements?

I'm not phased by it, be it what it may. I've never been one for titles, trophies or achievements.
 
Well, I know lots of people are achievement whores, so they'll probably like it. Might spark some more activity in the community if the achievements grant users bragging rights.

EDIT: I still need to do my [Balls of Steel] thread, seeing as I started the initiative. I see [MENTION=4071]BeoTeK[/MENTION] also still needs to do his. I have a great suggestion for his... *baaa*
 
I'm no achievement junkie, but I like its implementation. While not everything nees to have an achievement, a "certain number of something" ought to be a good enough incentive to keep the forum active.

Who doesn't like a little bit of reward for your work done?

Thanks - I received an achievement! What an achievement for me.:) I like. :)
 
It will keep things interesting!

Will there be a post with how to earn certain achievements? Or does that already exist and I look like a fool.

Don't worry, even if there is, we're all standing around and waiting for someone (you! yay!) to ask anyway :P

This is actually not a bad idea at all, but will make for some heavy duty admin from the Grand Poobah and his minions. But I do like the idea.

Also, can we start suggesting some achievements?
 
My only meh about the achievements is making some of the posts have 1/3 of a page just white when someone writes just one line - aka scrolling like mad to read all the posts.
