Rocket League - Free Weekend

So there's a free weekend for Rocket League on Steam. It's not showing up on the website, but if you open it in the client it shows as free for 3 days and 2 hours. I want to give it a try, but are there any local guys who play? Maybe we can arrange something.

It's also 40% off.
 
Downloading it right now (gotta love 20mbps fibre!) - I've been keen to try out this game. Glad I can give it a go before paying for it.

It's a lot of fun, I've played half an hour. We need to organise some SA teams. Playing on European servers is all right, it's not horrible, but local pings would be way better.
 
Local servers would be great yeah... ping makes a difference on those close encounters. Most of the game is fine on 150-200 ping though and me and my buddies still manage to rek the Europeans on their 20ms.

To those that are on the fence about this game, use the free weekend to try it. When I first saw the game and looked at the videos I thought it looks fun but would get over it very quickly.... 79 Hours later, still not over it. And this game has the best queue times, ever! 5-10 seconds most times. Probably due to cross platform.

The ping is not to much of a problem since the game is not to 'twitch' orientated but a low ping would defiantly help. The patch a few months ago really improved the delay from high pings.
 
Everyone needs to get Rocket League. It's a fantastic game. Its beauty lies in it's simplicity; jump into a game, drive around and hit a ball. Its one of those games that are easy to get into, but hard to master. Perfectly balanced, and the international servers are not going to take anything away from the experience. But, I'd suggest play it with a controller.
 
Just wondering, maybe we can setup a time a day and do a MyGaming Rocket League thing. I'm not the best at organising, but would anyone here be interested?

Cross Platform just simply works on rocket league. I've been thrown in games with other platforms. I just don't know how you would team up or create a game cross platform. I assume that is what you meant in any case hey XD

I'm always interested, just always have stuff on weekends. But choose a date and time and let me know.

Also, my Xbox One Controller is in for "repair", it's just the cable :/
So I'm using my half working Xbox360 controller for now.

I'm super keen. I should be online this evening around 8:30pm. I'm not sure how the hosting works but I'm happy to host since I got fibre installed last week so the latency is low and I have 5mbps upload.
