How to use local bandwidth to download from the PSN

Yeah i wasnt to sure how to do it, but basically followed what i thought. No to see what i want.

I have the same idea with you. Great!
Glad to hear you're using this: I plan to keep it much more aggressively up-to-date than has been the case in the past, but don't hesitate to let me know if you find errors or need clarifications.

Now if they really wanted to nice, couldn't they setup some sort routing for local authentication? I'm not clued up how that could work, just a suggestion...

I have a question for anyone who has downloaded from PSN before:
How many MB's does DLC for games (eg: like Batman: Arham Asylum and others) generally require? Once I get a PS3 and some games, it would be nice to get some downloadable content if it's not a big drain on my monthly cap.

It's hard to say but most of the time the size ain't too bad.

It is hard to say, most content or updates are usually small in size. Around about 30-50MB but i have come across things in the 700MB+ region. Just depends on the game i guess.

I personally dont use it that often, but if you queue you downloads and use all your ADSL international bandwidth, you still left with 30 Gig local to download a shedload (on my dobroadband 3 for example). So you dont have to buy additional local bandwidth. Just wait til you run out of international.

This is for PSN downloads, but can you play online on local servers?

I second that question. Because if you could you set ur PS3 to dial/connect ur to ur local only account and ur pc to dial/connect international one...? If the modems in bridge mode. If I'm wrong let me know.

Nice guide. My brother will be pleased to hear this cause he wants to download some stuff from PSN. Now he can do it without using his 1GB international cap

I sincerely doubt you can play online as most of the online servers are based outside SA, as for the PSN network it has a mirror of some sort in SA thats makes it possible to download from it using your local only account.

Can a avid online user please correct me if i am wrong...
