Go read the IW forums. They'd actually need to take the servers down temporarily to remove all the posts about the lack of dedicated server support. Thats how many people are complaining.

Heroes of Newerth is a new IP, its predecessors didn't sell millions of copies. I may be completely wrong and something happens. But im not going to get all excited until it actually happens. Id rather be negative and proved wrong than being positive only to have my hopes shattered.
 
y do they do something they know is going to be an outrage globally?

when did these companies stop actually caring about the ppl they are creating it for?

it's like only selling Bugatti Veyrons in pink...

Since when was customer satisfaction secondary?

So what OF is basically saying is, the HoN developers have to pander to the needs of the players to entice them to play... :p

Well yes. Big bad company like Activision doesn't have to do that, The SP of MW has millions of fans not even mentioning the MP. So they make the rules, they are holding all the cards.

And the point of the petition is to prove to them that they don't. Very few people will actually be interested in paying $60 for a 6-7 hour SP experience on PC. MP is what would make that price worthwhile. Except it appears to be broken.

In the end, it's still about the customer :)
 
SP has fans yes, its friggen awesome... but you don't need to log in to play :p
CoD4 will remain the online game of choice then...

This is just a repitition of the thread I started earlier for the people here that didnt read it...

Petition to all SA Game service providers

In reaction to the recent news that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will not have dedicated servers we need to do something as South Africans to ensure that that we can play the game online.

Spread the word, This is the best we can do for now...

Lets get as many signatures as possible here, the more we have the more effort will be made.

Remember Heroes of Newerth has already been organised and that is the same general concept as what IW are doing.. This is not an unrealistic goal.
 
I'd rather be positive and have my hopes shattered than be negative and proven right :) The former is still way less depressing than the latter.
 
Yeah and its growing. I checked now on the IW forums that apparantly fourzerotwo responded officially, but they quickly called hoax.
 
This is officially bigger than the whole Spore scandal a year or so ago. I'm seeing record torrent numbers when this game makes landfall.

I wonder if the signatures will manage to reach 100 000?
 
nt reading the whole page, so sorry if this has already been said but gamers are known to be all talk and no action. IW and Activision wont look at the numbers on a petition because they know most people will buy the game anyways. The only way to stop this is to cancel your pre-orders and make them see the number of money they losing. And this will only work if your pre-order was directly from them and not from some retail store which hasnt made their orders yet.
 
There is quite a few communities on xfire that will boycott MW2. i just hope everybody keeps their word and don't buy this game.....
