New version of Pokemon Go released

I've got a weird bug in this version.

When I open the Pokedex and view a pokemon I've caught, the screen starts scrolling rapidly by itself to the left until it reaches #001 Bulbasaur.

Apparent others have also had it in previous versions on the APK install and official versions.
 
I thought the eevvee trick was a cool easter egg, and it would make people think what else could happen if you rename your captured wild animals you force into pitfights.

Agreed, the eevee nickname was a nice throwback to the first series.

Has anyone for the love of Pete caught a Pikachu in Cape Town yet?

Saw a Cubone last night...had no pokeballs...sigh

Yeah yeah...You just keep dangling that carrot :P So nasty. Its just wrong i tell you! I have over 70 pokemon so far, and got a Charmander the other day. Still no Pikachu though.

Where did you catch yours? or did you use the walk away trick?

In the northern suburbs, by my office :P
Altho looking at him I dont see the map to show you where I found him.

Currently I have 61 pokemon, but I am evolving and transfering all my doubles as soon as I can.

My biggest issue is pokeballs, I keep running out, and someone took over my gym so I am not getting my coins anymore.

Yeah happened with me last night. What faction are you?

I had characters @ 4 gyms, almost level 15. Back down to 1 gym again at the moment. Need to go and plunder more later. Caught two Gastly's, one at Sable Square and the other in Pinelands nearby where I work.

I had 2 gyms, lost both yesterday :( Im level 13 now! But I dont have high level anythings. Im a Mystic - Ironically the area used to be very red, but was taken over by mystic quickly

Im a red, Valor I think it is. Highest one i have is a Golbat at just under 700
 
How the hell do you 'add' your creature to a friendly gym. i've captured a few and placed mine instead, but i cant seem to find a way to add my guys to a friendly gym (with less than 4 members). Do you fight and beat ALL of them to get to place yours? if so, thats kinda dumb, coz then the first person to catch it should be the weakest member...

I've noticed that you need to battle until the next level, it's training i believe. So if the gym is on 7565/8000, then you battle until it hits the next level @ 8000 then you should get the option to add your pokemon to the gym, by way of the icon on the left of the screen.
