This is what I see on the front page:

White space, black space, then small banner. It's never been a problem for my lappie, but it still might be just me. Also no banners on the forum side, just black space

Ah, it looks like we may have added an extra banner slot on the frontpage.

No banners loading on the forum side is not right, though. Can you send a screenshot of that? Which browser are you on, and which ISP?

Top and bottom banners works perfectly, side ones are missing. Using Chrome and on the works internet connection, not sure of the ISP, but seems to be some IS type of synchronous line. Never before had any issues on the network, and no blocking being implemented.

Edit:

Checked my home PC via TeamViewer now, and also getting the same issue. There on Telkom ADSL with a WebAfrica account using Chrome
 
Thanks guys, it might be that a new background just hasn't been loaded yet, but I'll double-check to make sure there isn't a technical issue.

Not to spoil such a sunny day but do you guys know gamescom is on and im not seeing any gamescom related articles about new games and tech happening over there, instead we're getting zerg net style clickbait articles. I love the jump in activity that the site has received but i would honestly like to see a bit more properly researched and quality articles on the site.

I have never been more disappointed in My Gaming than I have been over the last 2 months or so.
The writing is poor, the article research and compilation is poor.

This used to be my favorite forum but it's turned into a clickbait wannabe gaming news site.

I get you guys wanted to increase traffic and I'm happy you did but how difficult is it to post a Rumor tag on hardware not yet released ?
How difficult is it to make sure the article headlines are accurate, not distorted nonsense that "sounds snappy" or "clever' but it bares little to no relation to the article content, Research on hardware articles and pricing is mediocre at best.

I'm being harsh but it's honestly at a point where I'm not even willing to browse the site anymore.

Also I'm not picking on you [MENTION=289]Jan[/MENTION], Unfortunately I'm not quite sure who to bitch at lol

I couldnt agree more with [MENTION=21]The Joker[/MENTION]

The Forum is just basically a spam of poorly written, short, 90% of the time uninformative articles.

Its almost like MyGaming has its own Spam bot thats ramming content down our throats...

I have honestly just stopped reading the MyGaming posts, and try to focus on the user generated content, which is at an all time low...
 
I've posted before that I won't respond to negativity in the forum. All it does is weaken the community and create an antagonistic relationship between staff and forumites in the long run.

All I will say is that running a successful site is more difficult than you think.

Drop me an e-mail or PM with specific concerns and links, and I'll be happy to discuss it with you and take it up with my writers next week (rAge is on, so no-one is in the office right now).

Specifically articles where research on pricing was mediocre, because I feel we do pretty good work there by-and-large.

One last thing: words like "clickbait" are meaningless as a descriptor for a problem you might have with an article, because online commenters have twisted it's meaning to "article/headline I dislike or disagree with". In other words, please be more specific than calling an article clickbait.
 
[MENTION=289]Jan[/MENTION], From my side, I dont feel like anyone is trying to be antagonistic, and I completely agree with you on keeping the community strong, I will happily put a few things into an email that myself and a few other forum members have discussed. Im sure [MENTION=21]The Joker[/MENTION] will gladly do the same.

At the end of the day, we all love the forums, and want this to be the best it can be. This is my go to place for gaming talk because of the community.
 
It's amazing that MyGaming gives away prizes on a weekly basis. It would appear that MyGaming has a whole storeroom of external hard drives and other gadgets somewhere. :)

My suggestion is that MyGaming give away games. It would be cheaper than hard drives and the people around here will probably appreciate it more. What do you guys think?

If these drives are sponsored or such then of course it won't make a difference. It's just an idea. :)
 
Flip side of the coin, I ended up here as a result of the articles.
Bear in mind I was not here two months ago to give an opinion.

I would like to see some interviews with local players like the one with BisH
 
Is it possible to get some support for embedding twitter links?

I see the website has it. Although due to the nature of the code used to embed tweets, it may not work on the forum. It is something that will be nice to have though.
