so its official... we are moving to the UK at the end of the year... :( not really looking forward to it but oh well its better for the SO in the long run and i will be able to find work easily enough since his work will be assisting me with a work visa as well

In alle eerlikheid - BAIE GELUK! Ek weet dis scary en daunting ma dis regtig die beste besluit vir julle - terwyl julle kan doen dit. Ek wens ek kon weer gaan, dit sal lewe baie makliker maak.

ja dis nou nogals a rush om seker te maak ons voldoen aan al die vereistes om om katte oor te vat. vat die kitties vrydag om gechip te word by die SPCA en dan saterdag gaan hulle Vet to vir die Rabies shot wat hulle moet kry. en ons wag nog vir quotes vir pet transport plekke sodat ons kan sien presies wat dit gaan kos. die een plek vra ons sover R25k...

Vegetable Glycerin (VG) if you're using the vape juice for the nicotine. My mom just boils my father's cigarette butts in water lets it cool overnight, strains it and bottles the crud water. You need a very small amount of nicotine in the water.

It kills insects better than anything I have seen and lasts quite a bit. HOWEVER this is exactly as poisonous if not more than some of the off the shelf stuff.

Yea ongelukkig is dit die duurste ding, die diere oorvat, maar darem is die prosess baie beter as wat dit was so paar jaar terug.

I will remember that one, we have no smokers around us so I will have to use the VG nic, its just very expensive to use, but worth it to try.

We make our own vape juice now, so much easier and cheaper. Plus this way I control the amount of nic I take, aka almost nothing.

ja nee dis darem baie makliker nou. dis maar net die tydperk is baie rushed dis a groot change vir ons albei. ons kon nog nie eers familie se nie want ons is bang hulle post dit op FB want nie almal by die SO se company word oorgevat nie. hulle word somewhere in die week in kennis gestel dat hulle na ander departemente geskuif gaan word. so teen die naweek kan ons die parentals se en nie hoef te worry dat hulle enige iets op FB gaan post nie lol

sodra ons weet die kitties is sorted kan ons darem begin kyk vir blyplek ens.

Congratz Wenz! Ek weet as mens jou pets Australie toe wil vat dan moet hulle vir 'n sekere tydperk in quarantine wees voor hulle kan oorgaan. Is dit darem nie die geval vir die UK nie?

nope solank hulle a microchip het en a rabies vaccine gehad het en bloed toetse wat 90 dae voor departure skoon is vir rabies kan hulle oorgaan.

ek dink dit het met aus ook verander nou, dis nie meer so lank wat hulle gequarintine word nie.
 
ons het nou nog a quote gekry, R20k darem 5k minder as gister sn, maar albei hierdie vlieg net tot by heathrow. so dan het ons nog a 2 hour commute na bournemouth... ek hoop die 3de plek wat ons gevra het vir a quote wat tot in Southampton is darem on par-ish met die ander 2

Yeah lots of people are leaving. The lady two desks from me is busy with her last month here after which she is moving to England.

I'll be staying though. Mainly because I don't feel like the stress of doing something like that in my life right now.

for the record i dont want to go, but staying and having the SO get retrenched is not an option right now.

Ek sou swop as ek kon Wenz, dis verbaasend hoe vinnig jy aanpas daar. Trust me dis nie so erg nie, ja julle gaan familie en vriende mis maar dis 'n awesome plek.

But yea I will be staying here for now since I cant afford to go
 
So, I've taken up "speed" walking and jogging as an after-work activity for the past 2 weeks. Wrecked my shins a week ago after pushing too hard, but after it healed I've been enjoying it a lot. It's currently the highlight of my day and I aim for a 3km trail around my neighbourhood each day. Started my third week yesterday.

I feel SO much better mentally and have a lot more energy. Shaking off 3kg over those 2 weeks is a bonus as well, I suppose. [emoji14]
