I'll be reinstalling soon, will let you know when I log, BeoTeK.

I'm just downloading the updates and then I'm coming back too.

This is good, the Engineers patch has already added a lot to the game especially in the visuals department. Not to mention 2.2 will be coming in mid-end October which is adding a whole lot more, oh, and aliens (Thargoids?).

I was beginning to think I was the only one one these forums still playing Elite, it was getting kinda lonely. But then again, the black is and can be. It's a tough lonely life of an explorer.

I made the mistake of grinding my way to a Clipper and got burnt out after I realised the Clipper is really not that good.

I'm pretty amped to jump back in, though. Want to work my way to an Anaconda, but this time I'll take it slow.

Cool man, will do so. I've been itching to get another account as well. Though I wouldn't say I paid half of the price. I paid full retail price back in end 2014 then another (almost same price) when Horizons dropped. Not to mention buying it on Xbox One as well :p

Really appreciate this dude. Will hit you up laters.

No problem man, hoped you like them.
Got the other files if you want, Wallpapers, sound files, music, etc..
I say i paid double cause I paid the pound price for beta access.

Yeah, I've been out of the bubble now for a few months already. I haven't even seen an engineers base since it's release (for myself that is). But that's the thing with this game, don't play too much that it feels like a chore, the minute it does you may as well take a break. My policy is like that with any game really.

Yeah, think it was around 20 rand to a quid when I paid as well. Think it was over a grand, but yeah man, was just stating it as a point of reference.

No problem man. You didn't say much about the other content I found.

Went for a little drive in my rover last night, quite a nice evening out. Still heading towards Omega Nebula (for now), but may chage course to Jaques Station upon arriving.

How far are you from Jaques station? The video of Scott Manley making his way over there seemed like it's a huge distance to cover. Like it took him more than 11 hours to finish

I'm already about 7,000LY from Sol (and the bubble). I know Jaques station is about 22,000LY away from the bubble, at which point I'll probably visit Sagittarius A as well, which is a further 6,000LY.

And I also saw Manley's video, though I'm expecting my trip to be around 18 hours. He was simply jumping, jumping, jumping. I plan to do a little exploring and discovering as well.

All the talk about ED has made me want to jump back into the game as well, but there is no way I have time for such a trip. Also I don't have a good enough ship or discovery scanner for full blown exploration. I should really get back into playing this...

Well it really doesn't take that much time. Take 2 hours a night for example. Sure it may then take you a while to get there in real time at that rate, but it's just a little out of each day. Granted if you're just frameshifting in and out of systems it will take quicker, but in my experience, that becomes a chore and boring.

Elite Dangerous is currently on special at XBox Live for gold members. Elite Dangerous: Commander Deluxe Edition which includes Horizons is R359,40 which is a lot cheaper than on Steam. What's the game like on the XBox? Is it worth getting? Or would you recommend that I rather wait for the Steam version to go on special?
