Help me decide

Which game(s) would you take?

So I have seen some do this and now it is my turn, as I am really conflicted. I have budgeted and allowed myself purchase of two more games before year end.

Help me to decide, any reasoning and rationale would be appreciated as well. Really battling to make my mind up here.


Some background:
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - I am a long standing fan of the franchise
  • Destiny: Rise of Iron (and PSplus) - Always loved Destiny but I would need to buy PSplus alongside the expansion
  • Mafia III - this game just looks dope
  • Battlefield 1 - kinda getting bored of the same old same old, but who doesn't love WWI themed warfare?
  • Dishonored 2 - could never get into Dishonored 1 but this looks fly
  • Watch Dogs 2 - wasn't a fan of the first one due to bad port and optimizations, though I did enjoy the MP
  • Forza Horizon 3 - I just love Forza franchise as most will know. Might also buy digital and have it one Xbone and PC.

Well look Beo, Forza Horizon 3 is a must. So that's one gone.

The rest, rather buy bundles and indie games in my opinion. New games will go down in prices eventually. It's up to you though. If it has to be a new AAA title then I pick Forza Horizon 3 and ummm...... Syberia 3 which is releasing in December.
 
I'd say cross off dishonored and watchdogs from your list...why buy the sequels if you didn't like the first ones, be it gameplay or terrible developers (why support them??).

Same goes for BF1, if you admit you feel its getting long in the tooth, then that bias will follow you into the game and you'll likely have to force yourself to enjoy it as you've spent alot of money on it...do what I do and grab it when its free (bf3 and bf4 owner without paying a cent here) and the netcode issues have been ironed out by all the post-beta testers.


Id say go for Mafia III, as yea, that looks pretty good :)
 
My vote would be for the PS4 version of Deus Ex. Given that you can buy it for R450, it's really a no-brainer [emoji1]

I voted Deus Ex and Forza.

Deus Ex, because it looks like a great game and I too am a long standing fan of the series. Will be getting this one down the line.

Forza, because I know you are a big fan.

From the little bit of info you gave, none of the others seem like good candidates, except for the Destiny expansion, but the game along with the PS subscription will be quite expensive.

Yeah, that's kinda the problem as my subscription has expired. I don't really want to play Destiny without it.
 
My picks Mafia III, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Forza Horizon 3.

As you have stated Mafia 3 looks insane, I'm a fan of the franchise and I have high hopes for this title.
Likewise with Mankind Divided, it looks like a fantastic iteration of a well established franchise

Forza Horizon 3, well it's Forza
 
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - I need to play more, but the game feels good for the bit that I played.
Destiny: Rise of Iron (and PSplus) - Dont play much on consoles, so cant comment.
Mafia III - This game....was worried at the beginning, but it looks better and better, only other game I am interested in.
Battlefield 1 - For multiplayer, I'd say BF1. Personally I love leveling, unlocking and bettering my character. The main thing why I like the Battlefield series is the scale of the battlefield. I often play with a group of guys, in a squad, that plays the objective, that makes the game awesome. Plus the setting is a bit different. Will play more this week and decide whether I am getting BF1.
Dishonored 2 - PRE-ORDERED! But I loved the first, I love the setting, it just talks...no, shouts, screams to me.
Watch Dogs 2 - I played a little of the first, need to play more, didnt feel too bad, but the 2nd, I am not interested in it at all, the whole feel of it puts me off. I dislike the giddy on crack jumping around hacker thing.
Forza Horizon 3 - Cant play racing games to save me neck.
 
Forza Horizon 3, Mafia III, Battlefield 1 and Watch Dogs 2 are THE games on my wishlist this year.

Yeah, I hear you. I love Battlefield just as much as the next guy, been playing it since BF2 days. But also, the entry price isn't that bad but to fork out over a grand for premium is just absurd. And unfortunately, playing vanilla gets a bot frustrating in looking for servers and people that only have vanilla as well.
 
Forza Horizon 3 and Mafia III. Cars, guns, girls, drugs. What more could you need?

Also there's a "3" in both titles and good things come in threes, which means that someone will inevitably gift you one of the others in the Secret Santa festivities.

Also, HL3 confirmed.

For premium, with both BF3 and BF4, I bought the base game, then a couple of months after that, as the most DLCs only come out after a few months, I bought premium. So it splits the cost a bit.

That's the reason I backed it at the beginning of the year - knew that I was going to be overwhelmed by temptation in the second half of this year, and kicked in when I had the funds. The Backlog grows. And grows. And grows.
 
Deus Ex because it's Deus Ex.

Mafia III because it's Mafia.

None of those. well one of them. you need to buy Mafia III, FINAL FANTASY XV!!!!!!!!!!!! and South Park the fractured but whole!

Yeah i'd say deus ex and forza you seem to like them the most (from the list) can't give much reason not to get the other games except, battlefield 1 is gonna be buggy at launch since it is EA and you would probably be better off to pick it up later for cheaper.
