[MyGame] Game 4 Voting

Solitude

Mr. Nice Guy
Wait what? Another one? Already?

Yes!

MyGame 3: Psychonauts is for one month only. So we will already start voting for the next one. I spoke to Jan and we have decided that MyGame 4 will run for two months and then MyGame 5 will be a big one over December and January.

For those who don't know: MyGame is like a book club for games. We get together and play a game during a specific time period. From the start to the finish. Sometimes there are awards that gets displayed on your profile. We also chat in the evenings while we play and it's a lot of fun. Buy it, play it, join our chats in the evenings, be happy and content with the world. The chats are optional though as long as you post in the MyGame threads.

Previous MyGames:
[MyGame] Dark Souls
[MyGame] Borderlands 2
[MyGame] Psychonauts

Voting will start now and continue until the 16th of September. We will start playing the chosen game on the 1st of October and play until the last day of November.

To vote, simply list in order of preference, the 3 games that you would like to be the next MyGame. You can change your vote as often as you want by editing your post up until the 16th when I'll post the winning game. This leads to tactical voting. If a game is leading that you don't want to play then change your vote to make a different game go into the lead.

Points work like this: 3 points for a game in the nr 1 spot. 2 points for a game in the nr 2 spot. 1 point for the game in the nr 3 spot. The game with the most amount of points win.

You can pick any kind of game. Ideally the game should be able to be completed.

  1. Deus Ex: HR
  2. Grim Dawn
  3. Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning

I am not even sure anymore...

2. Deus Ex: Human Revolution (and possibly Missing Link)

In the case of something like Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin it's up to the player to decide if they want to play vanilla or not. So you can play either normal Dark Souls 2 or Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin. It doesn't matter.

My votes off the top of my head (may change later as I pore over my master list)

  1. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
  2. Grim Dawn
  3. Transistor

Games suggestions for a future short cycle:

  • STASIS
  • Bioshock Infinite
  • Bastion

Witcher 2
Spec Ops: The line
State of Decay

Aren't these a little short for a two month stretch or are you guys just looking for an excuse to get back to NMS?
And why is everybody dodging Shadowrun suddenly?

Question regarding Witcher 2: I haven't played any Witcher games yet so can I jump in at number 2 or is it better to do it chronologically?
Same question for Deus Ex HR.

I never played Witcher 1 or 2, but I did play 3. You probably lose some of the story but it should be fine.

For Deus Ex it won't matter that you start with HR, it doesn't follow up on the first two games. Completely different story.

Witcher 1plays very differently from Witcher 2

I started 2 and got about 8 hours or so in then dropped it. Then I started on 3 and I'm roughly 60 hours in. I do lose some story references...
