Yeah, I hate tiling. I'm really no good at it, tearing them down though, that I'm good at.
Yes, but i had to remove the shitty carpet that was in there, i couldnt stand it, tiling isnt cheap but atleast its extremely durable, laminated floors were also not an option as they swell quickly when a bit of water falls on them.
Such alot of ideas for renovations and improvements, but everything costs money and i need to budget for everything down to the last cent these days![]()
Can I ask where you got those tiles? I like the look of them. And I am wondering how much you paid for them? I might have a place that can help out with great selection of tiles for factory prices
Sherwood Mahogany wood look tiles at CTM it was on special R89 a square metre it is now R99 a square metre and a box was R216 if im correct.

aah Ok awesome that is a good price. Next time go check out http://pudlo.co.za/ They are based in Salt River and they are awesome. I paid up to 1/2 price of ctm prices for some stuff at pudlo and they have a small walkin shop you can visit.
Also I hope you are planning on using a dark grey/black grout - will make the tiles look amazing
progress report, its getting there(and yes that wall is straight the photo just came out weird)
also bought one of these usb wall sockets (it was cheap so i had to get one)

Nice one! Looking great dohcie!
Make sure to check the output of that 5V. A lot of the cheaper power supplies will have poorly regulated power, I had a cheap charger that would make my touch screen input be jumpy and nearly random.
Wow that is cheap the prices I have seen are more in the line of R200
Does this constitute as DIY?
