[MyGame] Grim Dawn

...if you only count killing the final boss as finished then you are only scratching the surface of what Grim Dawn has to offer.

True dat. Grim Dawn is really fun to play casually, but the developers clearly built the game in such a way that it's true depth will only become apparent once you get to Elite and Ultimate difficulties.

Normal or hardcore, that selection could affect whether you can join someone and co-op. Surely a Normal character wouldn't be able to join a hardcore play through?

Well I'll be being an idiot and making my first character hardcore...as i did with PoE and Van Helsing before it :D

I will stick to normal - still need to finish the game

Normal sounds good. And hardcore is a bit of a risk for people who need to finish the game. Still, it's an extra challenge for people who feel a little adventurous and insane.

Dipped my stick a little last night, and I think this is something I could get into. I'm looking forward to the playthrough (or at least attempting it).

Its an awesome game, for those who is starting it - start doing some research about the classes - dont be a Wyvern who just randomly select skills cos they sound cool :P

FTFY :p

But yes, that's typically me. I'm not much to follow the meta of a game, I play games because I enjoy them and want to have fun, I'm not big into min-maxing.

You can safely pick cool sounding skills to your heart's content since there is a respec option that you can use as many times as you like, as long as you have the money for it, but that shouldn't be a problem.

I would, however, advise people to focus on a handful skills and get those as high as possible lest you become a jack of all trades and master of none.

Jan will you be able to tear yourself away from WoW and Diablo 3 and also join in?

I think he may be away on business. I'm pretty sure he'll be joining us however.

Yeah, I'm attending iWeek all week, except for today which was Arthur Goldstuck and Mike Wronski's Social Media Landscape event. I'm sort-of on mandatory leave too, so trying to take it a little easy when I can.

I'm always up to try a new CRPG/hack 'n slash :D. I doubt it will convert me from the long-term draw that Blizzard's titles provide, but maybe these guys can tell a more compelling story.
