How does one accidentally a potato? (grammar intentional)

I wish I had some planters and decent soil around... I tried planting mint behind my flat, but I never go out that way and forgot about it, so it didn't grow.

Would really like to grow my own stuff, but ya... I just never think to water stuff.

You try growing a rose bush from offcuts and a potato grows...

We've spent the entire weekend working on the inner garden, so we have the new grass as well as the bedding edges in... will post photos later. All I can say is that my muscles are dead

The rest of my herbs seem to be growing slowly:

My lavender had a mushroom type growing in the soil which charred the leaves of the plant, so now im trying to nurse it back to health:

The strawberries are growing slowly but strong

Oooh you have the spiral hose - how do you find it? We want to try one but wasnt sure if it will last. Especially with two dogs who "has" to carry the hose pipe for you when you water the garden

It is awesome, and because it gets packed away it doesn't get chewed, our labby grabs the hosepipe in excitement and shakes it around so this is a great alternative. Plus it is quite thick

Where did you get yours from? Im scared of getting a cheapy. I want to get one for my mum for xmas

So someone gave me a few pots, some soil and seeds, so I'm gonna try growing some peppers and whatnot...

The pots have a couple holes in the bottom (manufactured that way). I've seen they usually have little 'plates' (for lack of a better word) under them, presumably to keep the soil from drying out too much... Are those absolutely necessary? I didn't receive any.

Well it depends where you want to keep the pots. If you want the plants indoors then the plates stop the water from flooding your floors.

Gonna keep them outside my front door so I don't forget to water them. Sounds like I can do without, thanks
