What power supply is it? You'll likely be able to get away with a cheapish replacement.

I've read up that cheapish will send the tv to heaven quicker for some unknown reason hisense used 24v psu's in their tv's and most lcd tv's used 12v psu's, i'll probably try and have the board repaired or i'll import a refurb board from shenzen (thats like china's silicon valley)

Ja, if it's an onboard PSU it could get hairy. Alibaba.com to the rescue! :p

Don't trust the FUD you read about this. As long as you use a power supply with similar specifications you will not have any issues.

Ello all, Im alive, numb, tired, migraine, heartburn but mainly just numb.

I need to somehow get away from here soon. I don't kno how much longer I can survive here.

*drama at work prevents me from using the internet....*

thanks, speaking of mouse cursors

the new mac os also have a cool find your pointer option, shake the mouse and the pointer will grow biiiig for a few seconds, almost like the press cntrl to find your pointer in windows option.
Depends on what you regard as "new". It's been part of El Capitan all along and possibly in Yosemite even... I only got my Macbook when El Capitan launched, so I can't confirm.

the imac at my parents place where never updated to yosemite or el capitan, i left it on mavericks cause it still had the 3d style dock which i prefer over the flat graphic design introduced in yosemite. hell i jailbroke my phone just to get the 3d style dock back that ios 5 and 6 had

sierra has grown on me though (priimarily because of siri), and it still works on 09 imacs which is a good thing, im sure with some trickery people are able to install it on older 07-08 c2d based macs.

I still need to install Sierra on my Macbook. Haven't had time to use the thing since Sierra became available, so it's been in a permanent sleep for the past couple of weeks. I might try upgrading this weekend...
