Exactly! See, Motorsport as we played it in the beginning of the year was all serious and stuff. You would be penalized hard for making the tiniest little mistake, and Horizon, well it shows you the ramp you have to ramp off of to see how high and far you can jump in your extremely expensive hypercar.

Yeah, it is pricey. No doubt it will be a deal breaker for some. I am however a huge Forza fan, I mean I even bought two XB1's for it :p
 
So XBox One version is R899. PC Version on Windows Store is R999.
So rather buy Xbox One version and utilize your free PC copy?

Doesn't quite work like that. Only the digital version is compatible on both platforms. I assume the R899 you refer to is the physical copy? which will only be playable on 'bone.

At least that's the way I understand it.

Why the hell would they introduce that kind of confusion? Without having read up, I was going to assume no matter which version you purchase on which platform, you'd be able to play it on x1 or PC.

Anyways.. looks like if you pre order from US store it works out cheaper? No? I'm just trying my luck on all fronts here.
 
Welcome to release day everyone. I woke up this morning early to put in about 3 hours of playing, and I have to say, this game is bloody amazing!! I cannot believe how amazing it feels and look. My word the graphics!! It's by far the prettiest game I've ever played.

Yeah, unfortunately places that owe me monies didn't end up paying so hopefully they will end of this month. Sucks! :mad:
 
Anyone tried it on pc yet? I've only tried it on the xbone so far but this weekend I shall dig up the old momo wheel and try it out.

Also, what club have people joined?

Did run it on my PC originally, but not for very long. Had really irritating micro-stutters but it did look really good even on the auto-configured Medium settings it chose for me.

Tried again last night on PC after replacing the PSU I popped on the weekend (entirely unrelated to the game, damn cat fur gets in everywhere!) Small stutters in races still there, then crashed to desktop after about an hour. Will wait for a optimization patch I reckon.

Want to try my hand at doing a vinyl design or two, so might just use the mouse and keyboard on the PC version for that as it may be a little easier than the controller on the XB1.

It is freaking beautiful visually. Lot of "Real vs. In-Game" comparisons going up recently:

I did get those issues in Apex as well sadly. Will see this weekend!

I wouldn't hire my drivatar. If its based off my actions it will most likely spend most of its time doing donuts in the bush using inappropriate vehicles.
 
From what I have heard, those stutters are caused by DRM. I didn't get them in Apex though, so hopefully I'll be fine?
