you should look at doing the local trail runs in and around golf clubs etc. entrance is low and a lot of times animals are welcome(if you have ones that you want to run with you that is)

if your looking for a nice family day out with some running, there is a nice run on at Serengheti golf and wildlife estate this friday. 5km, 10km or 15km.

i want to ultimately do 15km trail runs but in order to do that i need to be able to get my legs used to such a long distance as my legs still get tired very quickly. after about four weeks of running 3-4 times a week that should be sorted and i can start taking on the challenge of really increasing the distances i run.

Hmmm...good developers, bad developers, skilled developers, useless developers?

I have regular "altercations" with my developers over just that, and it comes down to the manager/project manager mostly. Sometimes you have to use the big stick, other times you have to use the carrot.
 
On another note... I paid my Telkom bill yesterday morning and as I completed payment (and received notification from the bank that my CC was charged), the session timed out. Which as a result does not reflect my payment. I have called them and explained the situation and they are adamant that the payment does not reflect.

Problem being, they saying if not paid my line will be suspended. What would you recommend on my next plan of action?
Wait for payment to reflect? Do another payment to avoid possible suspension? Call my back and try reverse the transaction?

Beo, sometimes it's difficult.

I've released a project yesterday and will be releasing another one tomorrow morning. It stresses me out so much because it's not one but two projects that can potentially have problems. But people want their stuff. And I wish I had more time on both of them but I had to rush to get them finished.

I think if it's up to us developers then we would want more time until it's perfect. But in most cases there isn't time for that and I suppose that's why there's deadlines.

[MENTION=20]Solitude[/MENTION] true, but there is a difference between polishing a working product and pushing a deadline vs an unfinished product or a non-functional product and then expecting deadlines to be merely a suggestion.

Apparently I'm don't dying (feel like I am). Doc didn't wanna give me antibiotics yet so she put me on cough medicine, cortisone tablets and throat spray. Still feel shit after having my dose of all 3, and getting up or moving makes me dizzy, weak and out of breath. Im really hoping i starts working soon... feel like death

You should go to my doctor. I've never gone there and not get antibiotics. Which is probably not a good thing.

Antibiotics don't do anything but kill good bacteria if you've got a viral infection, like the flu. If you get a secondary (bacterial) infection because you're immune system is under pressure because of the flu, then antibiotics make sense, but not before that. So you've got a decent doctor there, hold on to them!

And I hope you feel better soon! My wife has been sick in bed all week, and just sent me a prescription for tougher pain meds to pick up for her. I hope you don't have to be down and out for that long.

I know :( And I know this might be silly to say, seeing as you do what you do, but pleeeeeeease don't exert yourself anymore than you have to. The flu bug going around is a bitch, as in it's a lesser strain of the Spanish Flu and Swine Flu virii, and if it attacks your heart lining, you're gonna have a really really bad time.
