Coz the people I know that have iphones and will likely be getting the new one I can guarantee don't even KNOW that its splash proof, or be able to tell me its battery details.

Its a valid strategy in a way though. Sometimes there isn't much benefit in knowing the details.

Doing exactly that...fed up with my Android so will be buying whatever the top iphone is.
