5 tips for buying second-hand PC components

Hmmm... Carbonite, tried selling stuff there. Had an extremely negative experience. Don't think I'll use Carbonite ever again.

Was ok for me until i got banned due to the admins being sorta anal... no i didn't scam anyone :p
But then I found greener pastures @MyGaming :)

So I'm happy, since the guys in my area who sell on carbonite now know me so we whatsapp each other anyway :D

The problem is "You need 'reputation' to sell", buy you can't sell without a high enough 'reputation' and you can only build 'reputation' by selling. So seeing that you have no "reputation" you are called out as a "scammer", "con artist" and "chancer"

Which is why I decided to not use Carbonite, I only sell on Scumtree now and I don't ship jack shit. Pick it up from from me at a predetermined location and pay me cash.

Did you use the same avatar on Carbonite as here? I too will be hesitant to buy from somebody with a blood dripping shark as the image they choose to associate themselves with :D
