What platform will you be playing Doom on?

Anyone played Doom with the Vulkan API? I'm trying it atm, cant say whether its faster, but its not giving me any issues. Will run some benchies later.

Yes, if you have an AMD card then it's an absolute must to play with the Vulkan API! I easily get an extra 10-20FPS, if not more, when using the Vulkan API while running on Ultra @ 1440p. Nvidia cards on the other hand, according to this DigitalFoundry video, don't see much of an improvement when using Vulkan.
 
Damn, how times have changed, with previous games, I used to timedemo the crap out of them for best optimal performance....not so much these days. Would like to see the difference, will try to do it tonight.
 
Holy crap, Brutal Doom is sooo awesome. I cant believe I have never tried it. I havent enjoyed a new game like this in a loooong while, including AAA games.

Although my box looked like s**t when it finally arrived I got a 50% refund back from Amazon thanks to them not packaging it. Yes, not packaging it. Not packaging it improperly, simply not packaging it at all. They just stuck an address on the outside of the box and shipped it as is. :wtf: Score for me as there isn't much of a reason to keep the box, it's just polystyrene on the inside and a metal DVD case.

WTF? Really? There was some brainless idiot in packing on that day. Lucky with the refund.
