After my lovely experience with BF1 (Still no local servers..so fuck you EA/Dice).
I decided to refund BF1 and grab the Legacy Edition of COD.

R100 more than BF1 while offering a HUGE amount of content.

For the guys that ordered hard copies of the Legacy Edition, be aware that the COD MW Remaster is only downloadable. The hard copy only comes with the install files for infinite warfare.

I'll be playing on pc/steam as always.

I've also given BF1 a pass and have been thinking of perhaps rather getting COD this time around.

Are there definitely local servers for COD? Also, where can I get it for the cheapest price? I have seen the prices and they make me cry.
 
Have reservations about paying 1k for a game but this intrigues me more than Battlefield does!

As far as I know they're using the same setup they did for BO3. Although not ideal, it's fine. Never had latency issues with BO3.

Well for one thing it definitely has far more content than BF1.

I'll post my thoughts a little bit later.

They claimed they used a mixture of dedicated and p2p, how true that is, I'm not sure. It was fine though, never had issues with latency. Almost always 30-40ms.
 
Any news on if we have local servers or anything for the CoD remastered? After BF1 I want a new FPS to play but it has to be on local servers
 
Almost got this on Friday but decided to see how far my patience can go with BF1 and EA/Dice's dumbest fucking idea ever to not give us local servers......called CNA today to tell them ill be there tomorrow to fight for my refund based on the fact that I purchased a half working product, lets see if I win this or not, if I do then ill be getting COD tomorrow

I wish you good luck! It's been opened and if it is on PC and has been registered. CNA does not have to give you a refund. You will have to contact the supplier or EA directly. With regards to that, I doubt they will be forthcoming, there is nothing wrong with the product. Server hosting was never promised as part of the deal.
 
Surely we deserve to get what we paid for, as in I feel I paid for half a product, yes the single player im sure is great but I for one did not go out to purchase the game for single player, I purchased it for the MP, which as we all know does not work for shit

Thoughts?

Hate to be that guy but, a quick google would have given you all in the information you needed to know if BF1 was going to be getting local servers.

Additionally I know of a few people playing Battlefield 1 on PC/PS4/XBONE and have heard no problems with regards to latency, perhaps you should try it before you bash it?
 
Ok fair enough, however, since 1942 we have had servers, in knowing that, I'm sure I'm not the only one who did not check to see if we would have servers considering we have always had? Again, EA should have put on the box, no servers in Africa, promise, I would not have spent my good hard cash then

Unfortunately they removed the server browser...like a bunch of retards...
That said I've played plenty of games, all with local guys and the experience was great. Using P2P.
On the odd occasion I've ended up in an international game, but that's happened maybe 3 times.

Yeah we do deserve what we paid for, considering we paid more than any other country on earth (No I'm not joking). Also the fact the EA/Dice have kept completely quiet regarding server regions says a lot about them. Not to mention how they haven't answered any questions about the RSP that was supposed to launch already. Now I'm sorry that's a fucking joke.

That's great for them but I can tell you now they don't take gaming seriously. You are at a HUGE disadvantage with a latency of 200ms, when everyone around you is running around with 20-30ms. I played 30 hours of BF1, yes it's playable and yes you can have fun but there are moments that you want to commit murder because of latency issues. 1v1 you'll almost always lose, unless the enemy you're shooting at is a scrub. Sniping, although it works, every now and then you'll fire a shot that hits the enemy...only for them to shoot and kill you and then you notice "Oh he hasn't lost any HP". Or firing bullets that just vanish into thin air.

I'm sorry but when you pay nearly 2k for a game and all it's over priced content you should expect local servers right? Nope not according to EA/Dice, because they've seen a way to pour more cash into their pockets by taking away 3rd party server rentals.

As for IW, the campaign is awesome, it's been a long time since I last enjoyed a cod campaign.
The multiplayer is fast paced and a lot of fun, although I still hate the jet jump bullshit.
Best of all though, I can play knowing that my latency is 40ms.
 
Went to CNA eastgate, I've left my details, will call and speak to the store manager tomorrow, does anyone know who distributes the EA titles now that EA SA closed down, would it be Megarom?
 
If I buy the physical copy will it be the steam version or win 10 version
