I would be very surprised if there is a noticeable performance difference between 8GB and 16GB of RAM. I'm still using 8GB of DDR3 RAM in my gaming PC with an Intel 6600K and an R9 380X with an SSD, and my "bottleneck" is still my graphics card in all games.

ram is dirt cheap these days so 16 gigs of ram shouldnt/wouldnt be an issue for most people
