So I ended up starting something a friend threw into the mix

Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka
aka: DanMachi

seems pretty good hit Ep3 and it has one of those oooh ass whooping time moments, its like a watered down version of SAO, i'm not expecting a deep plot twist filled adventure at this stage but its feels light and entertaining.

Sword Art Online killed itself, when they made everyone go back into another game, to save the world again. I should get around to watching the second season sometime.

If you are interested in anime based on MMO's there is; No Game No Life, Ixion Saga DT, Log Horizon, Overlord and Grimgar Of Fantasy And Ash.

Although everyone needs to at the least watch JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

It will still be worth a watch, even if it is just to rant about how live-action-anime adaptations are always trashy

It's not that it is trashy, there are quite a few anime/manga to live action adaptations that worked really well. I will admit that they where all made in Japan. It just seem that when Hollywood get's a hold of it, it get's twisted into something that western audiences can digest, and looses much of it's original charm.

Anyone know if Gantz has been subed yet.

Nothing yet, if you do find something prior to it's home release, it will most likely be a translated from Russian or Chinese into English. Camvid rips are heavily frowned upon in the anime fansubbing community.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Crash Unbreakable has been in it's final stretch since episode 30, every week only get's better and better.

I will be saddened when it comes to it's conclusion on the 23rd next month. However I will be looking forward to the next series, Vento Aureo. While it has not been officially confirmed, I can imagine with the immense popularity JJBA has gained, it will definitely be turned into an animated series.

As for winter 2016, there does not seems to be much that interests me. This is a good thing I have so many shows to catch up on. Little Witch Academia, Youjo Senki, Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen, Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu and Rewrite are a must. While Akiba's strip and ACCA13 look interesting.
ACCA13 specifically catches my eye due to the interesting character design and musical score. Additionally I am a sucker for anything MADHOUSE, so my opinion can be skewed.
