Doom

What platform will you be playing Doom on?

So, I finally completed Doom. Just wanted to share a comment with the guys who have completed the game...

Wasnt the ending a bit...abrubt? I mean, I did the last part with the core, thought the next level would load and bam... new game screen... ending wasnt as big as I thought it would be, great game, I am going to give it a couple more playthroughs, but just the ending...


Another thing, I am happy I went with the 6Gb card, because of that, I can run Doom with max detail at 60FPS. The game uses about 4.3Gb video memory and damn does it look and feel great. Currently also using the Vulkan API, should try it with OpenGL, should really run that timedemo too...

It was a bit of a cliffhanger, I just wonder where they're planning on going with it next, since they never released any single player DLC. I didn't mind the game ending at that point though, as I felt it was long enough.

I would have liked a couple more boss fights, I quite enjoyed those.
 
I was playing DooM again, 2nd play through, and last night I picked up the double barrel shotgun and rocket launcher. The first time I picked it up, I physically smiled. The 2nd time I thought I would like be happy to pick up a stronger weapon.....nope. Still smiled.
I love how in the your face, aggressive the game is, fuck stealth, fuck trying avoid an enemy and sneak by him, fuck trying to be tactical, screw everything in your way.
This game, I just think its perfect. (Single player that is, multiplayer is fun, but as far as I'm concerned, SP is where the meat of the game is.)

I seriously hope they announce an expansion of some sort soon. I know they are probably working Quake Gen....but, sir, may I have more DooM?

Yeah man, if I had played the campaign of Titanfall last year my contention for FPS GOTY would have been that much harder, they're both shining examples of FPS heritage.

I shudder to think that Titanfall _may_ just have a slight upperhand based on a more solid and enjoyable MP, as a whole game experience. But man it would be tough to chose one or the other. Had and having so much fun and enjoyment from each of them equally.
