Yeah Dancer's move are easy to predict, I had the most trouble with Pontiff tbh.
Yeah, it's one that actually got my heart rate going and palms sweaty. This and the Abyss Watchers are so far my favourite fights.

So I only started playing the game properly after Christmas...got to around lvl60 and then built a new pc...apparently From Software doesn't know about Steam Cloud...so lost all progress. Best thing that ever happened though because then I discovered the warrior class. Although the knight seems to be the best all-rounder, the warrior is just much better to play (for me an anyway).
I adore the game and although there are obvious flaws with it, I still couldn't stop playing. Now I'm sitting at lvl131 on NG+ having just beaten the Crystal Sage and I'm thinking of rolling a new class...really tempted to run a ranged build, but from what I've read they're only good at later stages of the game and quite annoying for the 1st 10 hours or so. So not sure what to do.
Definitely one of my top 5 games of all time..this coming from someone that hated the game at release...lol

I haven't played DS2, but I suppose it isn't strictly required as the story doesn't follow on?
How much does DS3 cost on X1? Was probably on special sometime but not anymore?

Not at all. There's a few references to DS2 but they're few and far between. It's more a successor to Dark Souls and a lot more direct references.
It was on special over December/January, not sure right now.

You can get it for R410 second hand. Not sure what it costs new these days.

R600 at BT Games (will have to drive to Witbank to get it though, which adds about R150 odd due to tollgate and fuel)
R519 at Raru (but only dispatches within 10 to 15 days)
Nothing on Carbonite
R900 on Takealot (can buy it with eBucks)
Can get it for R400 on CDKeys for PC
Any other places I can look for it for X1? Also, I don't think I have Gold on my Xbox account anymore, so doesn't that mean no multiplayer?

I bought mine secondhand through AWX. It's probably your cheapest option. They deliver too. I posted the link in my previous post.
And yes unfortunately for DS3 it does look like you'll need gold to be be able to play online.

Hehe I missed this post. But yes Gold does seem to be required for online play. You missed a Takealot special a while back... Or it may still be there. Otherwise last I saw the cheapest was at cdkeys.com.

Well I got both the game and the Live membership, so now just to wait for the game to be delivered. Not sure how long that will take
