New Traffic laws??

In addition, stricter speed regulations have been placed on heavy goods vehicles, limiting how fast the vehicles are permitted to travel based on their weight. These vehicles will also have to display a sticker with a ‘100’ limit.

Yes, because the current "80" and "100" stickers do so much to prevent the drivers from speeding currently

Drivers will have to undergo a practical re-evaluation when renewing a licence.
A complete review and revamp of the current K53 test.

I don't think they actually thought this out too well. They are mutually exclusive of each other so, changing one will affect the other.

Additionally, this means that if you go for the practical re-evaluation when renewing a licence, there is a good chance you will fail again? Simply because you learnt K53 or something before it's time. Additionally how many people daily, renew their licences?

Those speeds will cause more accidents

I believe that improper training and testing is the main cause.

The simplest example is entering and exiting a roundabout (Circle). Most people get this horribly wrong.

  • You are not required to stop
  • Traffic approaching from the right has right of way.

Signalling

To Turn Left (taking the first exit)
-Signal left and approach in the left-hand lane
-Keep to the left on the roundabout and continue signaling left to leave.

To go straight on (taking the second exit)
Select the appropriate lane on approach to and on the roundabout. If no markings or signs indicating otherwise keep to the left lane. Stay in this lane until you need to alter course to exit the roundabout. Signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want.

To Turn Right (taking the last exit or third, fourth, etc.. exit )
Signal right and approach in the right-hand lane. Keep to the right on the roundabout until you need to change lanes to exit the roundabout. Signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want.
