Threadkiller Mk XIII

Just got home and my wife somehow managed to delete my downloads folder (all my torrents and browser downloads go here), as well as a lot of my movies (all in all about 700GB worth of stuff).

I'm busy recovering the files now, luckily I have recovery software on my PC.

My baby is running cooler and quieter now. That, or it's quite the placebo effect...

I'm sitting here, waiting for SO to get off her call at 12 noon (hopefully).

The Lasik is worth every bit of discomfort and effort. My uncle got it about 20 years ago, it changed his life. My mom got it about a decade ago, it changed her life. My grandmother even got it, it changed her life. Mother-in-law also got it, and swears that it's the best money she had ever spent. Where is she getting it done?

Also, if your recovery software does not do the trick, and you need to resupply, let me know, I'm not far away and I have an external! :p

Not sure what the name of the place is. I'll ask her, but she'll only answer me when she wakes up (she is working night shift this week).

I think the recovery software worked. If it did miss something here and there I probably won't notice until I'm looking for something and can't find it, so it should be fine.

The recovery software is actually crap scary. I just did 'n surface scan on the first go and it found all the things (I think) that got deleted. After that I did a deep scan. It found things I had deleted from that drive months ago! I was really suprised.

Ja, those things can be quite scary. Just a heads up, there's been a bunch of protests on the N4 again since new year's, I think 5 now, with the latest being this morning. Typically they close the highway at the Matthew Phosa offramp here, but once or twice they managed to push the protest back to the next offramp to the east, Schonland Dr. If you're going after 10, you should be fine, but if you do get caught up you have two options:

1) head back on the N4, take the OR Tambo exit to the right (over the highway), follow that for ~3.5km, get on the N12 west, and follow that until you can take the Kusile/Balmoral offramp North, head past Kusile, and the turn left on the N4 again.
2) head back on the N4, take the OR Tambo exit to the left, turn right at the first robot and call me so you can come have a coffee and a rest while we wait for the protests to dissipate.

It's unlikely that it'll happen, but just so you're aware.

Ah damn, thanks for the heads up. I don't know what time she has to be in Centurion, but I'll find out.

Hehe Ek is gelukkig altyd met stil tye by die brug, en my vrou doen alles aan hierdie kant van die snelweg. By design, maar dit werk vir ons! :D
 
And i survived the final session with the oral surgeon. I have 2 more appointments left with the dentist and then its done.
 
I was always of the impression that Valentine's Day was a bunch of money-making BS, now, it's seems as though I have to girls/women who are interested in me.

The 1 has obvious intent, the other is more subtle about it.
