How much time to you spend on the phone?

There's a GIF for that
I absolutely despise talking to people on the phone and I can't understand how some people can spend hours talking on the phone to someone they see almost every day anyway.

The cost alone is just mind boggling to me, like in the thousands of rands for a phone bill. :wtf:

I spend about R100 a month on airtime for my phone, and most of it is just for data. I actually prefer to communicate face to face or through email.

So how much time do you spend on the phone or other voice services, and if it's a lot, what's so great about it?

PS: I'm mostly talking about outside of business.

i only use my phone to respond to whatsapp messages (personal and work related) banking and online purchases via apps, takes some pics and use instagram occasionally.

i despise phones and to see how some people are addicted to it grinds my gears, they cant even leave it alone while they're driving, and my biggest annoyance these days are whatsapp voice notes.

about R30 on airtime and 100 megs of data per month, use wifi mostly

+100 to you both, I don't know why I have a phone. I also like to socialize, face to face. I sometimes sit, browsing through the playstore, just to find that one amazing app, that will justify why I have a smartphone......still looking.

I don't call all that much with my cellphone; I mostly do work calls with it actually. When I do call someone I don't talk for long, I just don't have all that much to say.

My parents I will usually Skype (so they can see the little one) or they will call me, and my friends I usually Whatsapp or we chat on Teamspeak when we game.

I have 2gigs of data per month on my phone since I get quite a few videos and things.

I never make calls with my phone, only when I can't find my SO in a shopping mall then I'll call to ask where she is lol

Other than that, just whatsapp/telegram 99% of the time

Phone calls - as little time as possible, use whatsapp mostly.

Although we're always on discord / TS.

I use my phone for business and personal.

I'm often making notes, taking pictures (work related), consulting with customers or just chatting and browsing social media.
However, I only charge my device maybe once every 2 days.

I use mine to watch videos, movies and listen to music. Then whatsapp for study groups, and to stay in contact with some people. I phone 2 times a day - to open the gate at the office :P Otherwise maybe once a week?

I use my phone for the radio. It is a 10+ year old phone by now. I dropped it on a moving conveyor once. :p

Oh man, I spend a load on my phone. Between calls both work and personal, whatsapp, Tapatalk, reddit, Google music, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, photos, Google maps, Skype, Sudoku, chess. I drain my battery well before the end of the day.

I read suggested Articles from Google, Telegram, whatsapp, hangouts, Google maps, and random research on the go, I do 1 hour long calls to a friend of mine at least once a month if not more luckily if you do vodacom to vodacom you can make this cost R6 so its not so bad.

I don't use my phone for calls all that much. In fact I don't actually have a phone. I'm one of those weirdos who use a tablet for a phone. I dislike phone calls a lot and make use of whatsapp and such much more.

So since my phone is a tablet I use it a lot as a tablet. It's linked to my car radio so I listen to audio books while driving. And there's lots of apps that I use and such. Read kindle books on it. Browse the web and all kinds of stuff.

I can't wait for Samsung to come out with those foldable phones. It'll be perfect. The size of a smartphone until you open it up and it becomes a tablet.
